After making an effort to compete for Billy Mayhew’s attention, the undertaker played by Gareth Pierce found it difficult to find love in Weatherfield.

However, Todd has been completely enamoured with Moses, Paul Foreman’s caretaker, in recent weeks while his old love rival has battled the signs of motor neurone illness.

Actor Michael Fatogun’s Moses was shoved in Todd’s direction by Paul and Billy (Peter Ash and Daniel Brocklebank, respectively).

Even though Todd had the day off, their date didn’t go as planned, despite the obvious attraction between the two men. Todd got texts from George Shuttleworth about a business issue.

Scenes that will run next week seem to indicate that Todd and Moses’s blossoming relationship is doomed when the newcomer throws a bombshell on him.

A sad Moses informs Todd in the Rovers that he’s heading to London in order to find work.

Is Todd going to be persuaded to go with him?

Most of the people in the cobbles were pleased with Moses, but once Paul’s mother Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) was allowed to leave jail, things took a bad turn.

Bernie was horrified to discover Billy unconscious on the couch after telling him to take it easy while she took care of Paul. Billy had hurt his back trying to assist his partner get out of the bath.

It didn’t take long to see that Billy had to act since Moses was running late.

Moses told Todd he was overworked on the street, and Bernie, fuming, listened to the whole exchange from a distance.

Moses finally had to deal with consequences when his supervisor called to inform him that he had been suspended.

Could he, however, make a difference before it’s too late?
