‘Unbearable’: EastEnders icon Kellie Bright reveals ‘worst possible thing’ happens to Linda Carter

When Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) assassinated Danny Walters’ character Keanu Taylor on Christmas Day, the whole world spun on its head.

She has deteriorated much more in the weeks that have passed, falling quickly back into the grip of alcoholism.

Actress Kellie Bright said, “I think it’s safe to say that she’s drinking every day to numb herself.” She has been giving in to her alcoholism. “I don’t believe she is managing.” If anything, I believe she is searching—perhaps not always in the proper places—for things to cheer her up.

The Six decided to cover for her and assist in hiding the corpse, but now that she’s done so, they are all afraid that she would break and reveal their secret.

When Linda and The Six find out that the café floor may need to be replaced due to a leak, things are about to become much worse in the scenes that follow.

According to Kellie, the news that Keanu is buried under the concrete causes The Six to worry and exacerbates Linda’s already collapsing feelings.

“Linda has a great deal of guilt.” Not just for what she has done to Keanu, but also for everything else she is putting these other women through.

Rocky had to be sent in prison by Kathy. Linda believes that Sharon has vanished and that she is hated by her. Stacey is always pushing her to get herself together, but Linda knows that she can’t, and the last thing Stacey wants is to go to jail. Suki is forced to cope with Nish and give up all she has ever fought for because Denise is starting to lose her sense of reality.

I believe Linda is carrying a heavy burden of shame and responsibility for each and every one of them as she watches them all fall apart.

It’s just the cherry on top when there is an issue with the café floor. It is my belief that she feels that she is essentially flawed and that negative things will always happen to her. Although it’s horrifying and terrible, and fear clearly comes in, Linda seems to believe that it will happen eventually.

As if Linda’s situation weren’t already dire enough, Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) reappears out of nowhere on Albert Square, determined to find out what happened to her kid.

Despite Linda’s best efforts to ignore her, Karen finds her and demands to speak with her about what happened on Christmas Day.

The worst thing that could happen to Linda is definitely having to deal with Keanu’s mother, particularly on the day of her arrival. I believe that she is finding the whole situation to be very intolerable, and it is driving her more and closer to the brink.

Linda’s struggle only makes her turn to alcohol once again, and things gradually spiral out of control.

But Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) and Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) quickly understand that something is wrong, and their attempts to intervene result in a major confrontation.

“I believe Linda believes she has everything under control.” She may believe that “it helps me get through my day” and that other people, not herself, are the ones who are having problems. She probably believes she can conceal it much better than she really can.

‘Bless Kathy, she’s trying to be the calm voice. Think of Linda Carter as an elastic band that is stretched to the breaking point every single minute of every day. She is leading her life in such manner. The drink is the one thing that looks to be easing Linda’s strain, even if it is undoubtedly making matters worse in her mind at that very time.
