Daisy Midgeley of Coronation Street and Bethany Platt don’t get along since Bethany’s unannounced return at the beginning of the year.
It seems that trouble between Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) and Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) could be in the works. Daisy is obviously not a huge admirer of Bethany since she has reignited her affair with Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard).
ITV viewers saw in Wednesday’s episode of Coronation Street exactly how much Bethany has struggled financially ever since moving out of London. An editor advised her to try Chit Chat magazine in place of the Gazette while she was applying for a position there.
The event took an unexpected turn, despite her initial distaste for the idea of writing for a publication that her great-grandmother reads. Speaking with Lisa George’s character Beth Tinker in the bar, Bethany discussed Daisy and Daniel’s relationship.
Admitting that she was aware Daisy had cheated on him with Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott), she expressed surprise to discover there was a catfishing controversy around it. Viewers watched Bethany phone the editor of the Gazette later in the show, telling her that she had a story that Chit Chat Magazine would be interested in.
Will Bethany, the landlady of Rovers Return, take vengeance on Daisy for robbing her of her partner and degrading her if she chooses to reveal Daisy’s duplicity to Daniel and Ryan in public? Speaking previously to Express.co.uk and other media, serial actress Lucy Fallon acknowledged that the two would engage in a power struggle.
“I think Bethany is also a strong female character because Daisy is a strong female character,” the speaker said.
They both seem to desire the same thing, therefore I think they will collide. I believe they will engage in a power struggle.
Fans of the ITV soap opera saw Daisy and Daniel abandon their romance at the end of the previous year after she had an affair with Ryan Connor.
Daisy and Ryan had become quite close following the terrible acid attack they suffered from the previous year.
After his wounds, Ryan’s confidence had reached an all-time low, so Daisy made the decision to pose as his previous love interest, Crystal (Erin Austen).
After pretending to be her for a few weeks, Daisy began to feel something for Ryan in their conversations.
He was first quite angry, but as their friendship grew, his anger subsided and they ended up sleeping together, which put a stop to her relationship with Daniel just before Bethany arrived.
Now that Ryan moved out of Weatherfield to be with the real Crystal, both of the guys in her life have moved on.
The soap opera actress Charlotte Jordan said of his departure at the time, “These men have been her sole focus for the last two to three years on the street, at one point or another.”
It’s intriguing that they’re using the breakup to resurrect her darker side, and she’s going to give in to her immoral impulses. For want of a better phrase, she believes she has nothing left to lose, therefore “The B***h is Back.”
