As worries for stepmother Denise (Diane Parish) increase, Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) will interrogate Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) about her bipolar condition in EastEnders the next week.
After attacking Nish Panesar (Navan Chowdhry) on Christmas Day, Denise’s mental state has been steadily declining over the last month, as viewers of the BBC soap opera have seen.
When Nish hurled himself at Suki Panesar (Balviner Sopal), the ladies defended her. They left him to dead on the Queen Vic floor, but he recovered fast with CPR.
The same evening, Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) was stabbed by Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), and the three women—Stacey, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), and Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth)—kept his corpse hidden under the Bridge Street Café’s floor.
Denise was scared when missing Keanu, who was pinned down as Nish’s attacker, came up from a coma in the hospital and started questioning the ladies about their role in the incident.
As Stacey and Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), Denise’s civil partner, get into a passionate relationship, Denise meets with her murderous ex-husband Lucas Johnson (Don Gilet) to seek forgiveness for her transgressions.
Fans of the programme have seen Denise fantasise of burying herself alive and hallucinating a dead Keanu in the last week. In future scenes, her stepchildren, Amy and Ricky (played by Frankie Day), speculate that Denise could be suffering from bipolar illness.
Amy approaches Stacey to inquire about living with bipolar disorder, feigning it’s part of her school assignment, after Denise has a breakdown over a kind Valentine’s Day present from Jack that makes her think of the famous “D”-shaped necklace that she unintentionally buried with Keanu.
Will Stacey tell the other members of The Six that Amy is acting in Denise’s best interests, or will she go to her boyfriend Jack to get the truth?
