EastEnders spoilers: Karen Taylor towers over dead son Keanu’s body in unnerving scenes

In recent scenes, Karen Taylor made a triumphant return to EastEnders as she looked for her missing son, Danny Walters’ Keanu Taylor. Little did she realise, however, that she was closer to him than she thought.

Even after being shown The Six’s version of events by Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), suspicious Karen was unable to get over her suspicion that the real events of Christmas Day were being withheld from her.

Watchers will see that Karen is right to be concerned since Keanu was stabbed by Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) during a violent altercation, and as a result, he is genuinely dead and buried under the café.

Karen was not pleased with Stacey’s answer, so she returned to the café and wouldn’t leave until she was informed of her son’s precise whereabouts.

She had no idea that he was standing just underneath her.

Karen resorted to Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) as she was demanding answers. Nish almost put The Six under fire by admitting that he couldn’t recall Keanu’s presence, much less being the one to attack him.

Fortunately, Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) intervened to change the conversation by describing how Keanu had acted violently and aggressively while glancing at his last resting place.

Kathy grimaced as Nish continued to insist that Karen go, calling Keanu slime and told her that he deserved to be wherever he was.

Kathy met with Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and Stacey to devise a strategy to get rid of Karen, who was still desperate to find out where her kid was.

Kathy determined that reporting mom to the police for kidnapping Albie would be the best course of action; however, this plan backfired when Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris) overheard Kathy talking on the phone and pleaded with her not to put her mother in jail.

Following her assistance in assisting Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) take over the Arches in order to pay back his lost £50,000, Kathy gave Karen the order to leave as soon as possible, should she end up in jail or worse, face Phil’s fury.

Kathy told Stacey all she knew, completely oblivious to Karen’s presence, believing that she was out of sight, out of mind.

Will she ever know how much she resembled her son?
