Next week on Coronation Street, Dylan Wilson will get an unexpected guest, so it’s mumspeak all around. After it was discovered that the teenager was one of Liam Connor’s bullies, he has been making an effort to make amends.

Next week, Eileen Grimshaw is shocked to learn that Sean Tully hasn’t informed Violet about Dylan’s situation and asserts that she has a right to know. Eileen puts pressure on Sean to give Violet a call, but Dylan says he’s already talked to his mother, who is in Ibiza and can’t make it to the court session.

When Dylan enters a guilty plea to carrying a weapon in a public place on the day of the hearing, Sean is outraged and pays attention. Dylan thanks Sean for all of his support and tells him that he plans to put his life back on track after receiving a community service order.

When Sean and Dylan get home, Eileen is there with Violet, who is obviously furious. Violet asks Dylan if he has anything he would want to share with her.

At that point, Eileen tells Violet that she phoned to apologise for missing the hearing and found out Violet didn’t know what had been going on. Violet rips a piece off Sean, making him feel hurt because of his poor parenting abilities.

In another section of the café, a detective on the internet watches as Roy Cropper informs Yasmeen Nazir and Nina Lucas that he has been invited to return to the police station for an interview. Upon hearing David and Shona Platt speculate about the possibility of Lauren Bolton’s dad’s far-right organisation being involved, Max makes the covert decision to pay Reece a visit while he is incarcerated.

He informs him that while Roy just cleaned Lauren’s apartment, he was mistakenly accused of her murder. Subsequently, Roy is alone himself at the café, except for two suspicious individuals seated at a table. Roy knows he’s in danger when one of them gets up and locks the door.

Nina, meantime, is horrified to learn that some amateur detectives have been searching the bat roost site for clues that will link Roy to Lauren’s death. To make sure everything is okay, Roy packs shovels and bin bags into the boot of his vehicle and drives to the roost site.

However, DS Swain is waiting for him to take him to the station as soon as he gets back. Later, upon their release from the station, Asha Alahan, Evelyn Plummer, Bobby, Max, Roy, Nina, and Carla Connor gather for Lauren’s vigil at the precinct. However, other boys heckle Roy and record him on their phones as be talks to the audience, praising Lauren and how much she meant to him.

After the vigil, Evelyn, Carla, and Nina advise Roy to stay quiet until the police ascertain Lauren’s killer, but Roy is unwavering. Nina confides in Carla at the café about her concerns about Roy. Bobby, in the meanwhile, phones the salon, obviously furious, and shows Max the Lauren piece.

With the intention of discovering who had informed the media about Lauren’s sex profession, the boys set out to locate Sabrina. Max and Bobby are reassured by Sabrina that she did not leak anything to the media, and she is angry that they would even believe such a thing. Max is really sad as Sabrina storms off.

Evelyn, on the other side of the street, is shocked to see the internet article characterising Lauren as a sex worker. At No. 9, Cassie Plummer reads the story about Lauren’s sex business and tells Tyrone Dobbs that reminds her of some horrible experiences, but Roy is insistent that he doesn’t want to hear the specifics.

When Cassie discovers Evelyn and Daisy talking about Lauren in the store, she becomes enraged. Fiz and Evelyn are shocked to learn that Cassie previously had to turn to sex services from Tyrone. Does Tyrone, however, know the whole story?

In addition, Paul Foreman is slurring his speech, and when his new PA shows up, she finds it difficult to understand him and feels out of her element. Billy Mayhew attempts to downplay it, but Summer Spellman informs him that they must acknowledge the truth—his speech is becoming worse.

Billy Mayhew later tells a surprised Summer that he is afraid to discuss Paul’s decline with him because he intends to commit himself if things get too bad. When Paul learns that Summer intends to postpone her study in America, he begs her to pursue her goals despite his influence.

That evening, Paul tells an anxious Billy that he has got them down to sing Stand By Me during the karaoke session at the Rovers. What will happen?
