In forthcoming scenes on Coronation Street, Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) will make a shocking confession that will leave her mother Evelyn (Maureen Lipman) stunned.

Feeling uncomfortable in No. 9, Fiz discussed whether her children Ruby (Billie Naylor) and Hope (Isabella Flanagan) were angry with her for taking so long to return.
Ruby gave a sweet monologue about how much she had missed her mother. Touched, she requested Evelyn and Cassie to stay, even though they lived in close quarters.
In later sequences, Evelyn will be obsessed with locating proof that her buddy Roy Cropper (David Neilson) is innocent after he is suspected of killing Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).
When Evelyn ordered Roy to clean up her apartment, which contained crucial evidence, he unintentionally got himself into trouble. Lauren vanished after Roy fired her from his notorious café.
Lauren contacts Roy after seeing an internet story characterizing her as a sex worker, suggesting that it might be a clue in her disappearance, but he isn’t interested in finding out.
As Cassie learns of the situation, she confides in her son Tyrone (Alan Halsall) that it has made her terrible recollections of her own upbringing.
She revealed to him last year that Evelyn’s adolescent abandoning of her left her on the streets, where she became a prostitute and turned to drugs.
Is there more to the story than what was widely believed at the time, which was that Cassie had planned a vicious falsehood to get revenge on her mother?
Tyrone comes clean to his wife and grandmother about Lauren’s history after becoming enraged with Evelyn and Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) for talking about her in the corner store.
