Unaware that an online detective is listening in on their chat, Roy informs Yasmeen (Shelley King) and Nina (Mollie Gallagher) in the cafe after his arrest that he has been asked to return to the police station to be interrogated.

The following week, Nina is horrified to learn that some investigators have been searching the bat roost site in an attempt to uncover anything that might implicate Roy in Lauren’s death.

Roy packs shovels and garbage bags into the boot of his car and drives to the roost site, expecting all will be OK.

But when he comes back, Swain is waiting for him, prepared to take him to the station.

Poor Roy keeps making things worse for himself; later, at Lauren’s vigil, he speaks to the crows and expresses his affection for the young woman. Shortly after, some boys start photographing him with their phones and making offensive remarks.

When things get out of control, Evelyn, Nina, and Carla (Alison King) advise Roy to remain quiet until the authorities ascertain Lauren’s true fate and the identity of her killer.

Will Roy, though, pay attention?

Or will he keep unintentionally giving the impression that he is acting with malice?
