There are spoilers in this article for Tuesday’s (March 19) episode of EastEnders, which you can view on BBC iPlayer right now even though it hasn’t yet broadcast on television.
After her abrupt departure earlier this year, EastEnders has finally provided us with an update on Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).
After Keanu Taylor was killed, Sharon left Albert Square to stay in Australia with her best friend Michelle Fowler.
When Sharon realized that The Six would have to bury Keanu’s body, everything became too much for her, and she ran away before anyone could stop her.
A few days later, she received word that her sister Michelle would be having a hysterectomy, so James Bye’s character Martin Fowler left to accompany her.
In later scenes, Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) was eager to learn more about Sharon’s condition once Martin unexpectedly returned to the Square.
When Sharon first came to Australia, Martin admitted, she was “all over the place,” but he also told a relieved Kathy that she was doing much better now.
He disclosed that she intended to remain in Australia for a short while longer, but that it had been her idea for him to return to Walford sooner.
Naturally, Kathy was more interested in finding out if Sharon had disclosed the truth about their murder, but Martin didn’t appear to have any clue.
For weeks, fans have been itching for Sharon to make a comeback; some have even gone so far as to find out when her passport expires so they can know roughly when she will be back.
Denise Fox actress Diane Parish revealed that The Six would soon reunite in a new behind-the-scenes film.
But with the murder weapon still absent and The Six gradually disintegrating, will Sharon lead them all back together or will tragedy strike again?
