Since her arrival in Walford last year, Tearaway adolescent Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) has kept the locals on their toes, and she is only going to get more turbulent in upcoming EastEnders scenes.
Avani’s next act of disobedience is to skip school after being discovered stealing from Martin Fowler (James Bye) and selling vapes to Will Mitchell (Freddie Phillips). It doesn’t take her long to come up with an excuse for her absence.
But she quickly gets rumbled when an SMS from the school alerting her to Avani’s truancy cuts short Priya Nandra-Hart’s (Sophie Khan Levy) flirtatious chat with Martin.
When Avani is subsequently discovered by Martin and Priya on the playground, she finds amusement in Ravi Gulati’s (Aaron Thiara) jealousy of Martin’s visit.
Subsequently, she confides with Nugget Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) about her intention to reconcile Ravi and Priya.
However, how will she accomplish that? Of course, by bringing about total pandemonium.
Priya asks Martin out, which throws a wrench in her plan, but Avani thinks fast and tells Ravi that Priya is sick.
To Priya’s dismay, Martin misinterprets the situation and departs when Ravi arrives at No. 41 at the same moment.
Priya and Ravi chastise Avani for her meddling, and later, Ravi pushes Priya to give it another go with Martin.
To Avani’s dismay, Martin accepts a date in Walford East, and the two end up hitting it off.
She quickly causes more mayhem in an effort to spoil their date, but she won’t be defeated.
