Emmerdale star Rebecca Bakes confirms Angelica’s future after sentencing

Will she be back?

The future of Rebecca Bakes’ character Angelica King on Emmerdale has been confirmed.

After admitting to reckless driving and admitting that she was the driver when her buddy Heath was killed in the vehicle accident in the New Year, Angelica was recently given an eight-month prison sentence.

Although Rebecca’s future in the part was unclear, the actress now seems to be confirming that she will be coming back at some point.

The actress answered a few comments after sharing a number of behind-the-scenes pictures from the soap opera last week.

After Cathy Hope actress Gabrielle Dowling commented that it “looks like such good fun,” Rebecca ostensibly hinted that she would be returning when she wrote that she “can’t wait to film with you again.”

Great pictures! Another fan said. And fantastic scenes tonight, really well done,” Rebecca said. “I can’t wait to see Charlie again; he did amazing.”

Rebecca’s mother on screen, Nicola Wheeler (Nicola King), recently expressed gratitude for the way that co-star Gabrielle and she handled the challenging plot.

“Both girls were thrown into a massive storyline,” she explained. “Gabby was pretending that her brother, who was undoubtedly also her real-life brother, had passed away. That must have seemed unusual to them.

“And for Rebecca as well. Rebecca is accustomed to manipulating her feelings, but typically, the portrayal of her emotions has consisted of a single mood at a time.

“Whereas this one, within a scene, she might have had a whole gamut of emotions to portray: you’re guilty, you’ve got to hide it, you’re trying to pretend you’re okay when you’re feeling awful.”

Nicola went on to say: “All of those emotions are things that Rebecca has had to deal with and I think she’s done a good job.”
