ENDER SECRETS Whitney Dean makes shock return to Walford but she’s not alone in EastEnders

The fan favourite has been keeping a secret from her loved ones.

Tensions have resurfaced between Whitney Dean and Zack Hudson, her partner.

When Whit returns to Walford with unexpected company, will the cast members of EastEnders be able to put these to rest?

Since their time in Milton Keynes, the couple—played, respectively, by departing actress Shona McGarty and James Farrar—have encountered difficulties.

As viewers of BBC One will remember, Zack went back to Albert Square when his fiancée Whitney, who was significantly pregnant, argued with him over taking in Britney, a troubled teenager.

In recent sequences from the London-based show, Whitney even risked her life to save the child by getting hit by a car.

Zack was unaware that Whitney had made a deal with Britney’s mother Keeley in which she would pay the teenager off.

Next week, though, Whitney can’t avoid answering Zack’s questions when she goes back to Walford to be with him—Britney included.

Next, Zack invites Whitney’s cousin Penny (Kitty Castledine) and Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) to a welcome-home baby shower at The Vic, despite Whitney’s reluctance.

Sensing that he is uncomfortable because he has attempted to kiss her in other recent scenes of the popular show, Lauren goes to Zack’s to make amends.

She makes a vow to remain silent about his pass on her when she gets there, but will she follow through?

Afterwards, Zack storms out, incensed that he was kept in the dark, and Whitney arrives home with Britney, who confesses that she is her new foster mother.

While Lauren tends to Britney, she senses tension between the two and soon causes trouble in the Square. Whitney locates Zack and tries to diffuse the situation.

Zack rushes off again as Lauren and Britney arrive, and he and Whitney continue to butt heads when they get home to the constructed cot.

Whitney and Lauren have a heart-to-heart conversation before Zack eventually gets home and tries to mend fences.

Whitney admits that she’s taking Britney shopping, which sadly means that tensions between her and Zack are still very high.

However, this is before Whitney catches Britney surreptitiously throwing away her linens after she has soaked the bed.

What will she say?

In other sequences, Zack tells Whitney and Britney that he discovered food hidden beneath the teen’s bed and that they should notify the social media when they get home.

Before Zack tells her about his own foster experience and gives her a culinary class at Walford East, Britney overhears and explains why.

However, Whitney answers a call from the social worker, and Lauren overhears their talk, just as Britney and Zack seem to be getting along.

Soon after, Lauren pushes Whitney to tell her the complete truth, and Whitney obliges, telling Lauren that she has to do the same with Zack.

On their way to Lauren’s thirty-first birthday party at The Albert, Lauren’s ex-boyfriend Peter Beale (Thomas Law) and his companions interrupt the couple.

Lauren concludes during the celebration that Whitney has been treated unfairly after speaking with Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams).

Whitney does, however, vow to be honest in the future.
