PUB-LIC SHAME Coronation Street villain makes bombshell return as she threatens to expose Rovers Return lies

Daisy Midgeley gets a family reunion she wasn’t expecting.

At the Rovers Return, business has resumed as usual following some cunning (and theft) by Daisy Midgeley and Jenny Connor.

However, the pair’s secret is in jeopardy when a surprise figure returns to Coronation Street the next week.

Jenny Connor had been running the renowned Weatherfield boozer for years, so her loss of control over the Rovers Return Inn hurt.

In an ironic turn of events, Sally Ann Matthews’ portrayal of a bar landlady went above and above to find a solution, and she was fortunate to receive the support she required from her ex-boyfriend Stephen Reid, a serial killer.

After the evil businessman was killed, Jenny managed to obtain the money he had taken from Carla Connor’s Underworld plant.

In her attempt to reclaim the Rovers, she received assistance from her stepdaughter Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan), and the two women decided to use Carla’s pilfered money to reopen the Rovers before returning the money to her.

Meanwhile, those who live nearby are clueless. Jenny and Daisy reopened the famous tavern using money that they had stolen; Daisy later told her partner Ryan Connor that her mother Christina had assisted her.

But in scenes that will premiere on ITV next week, the mystery might finally be revealed. It all starts with Daisy’s mother Christina Boyd—played by Amy Robbins, star of The Royal—visiting the cobblestones for a big family reunion.

Next, Jenny shares her ideas for a speed dating night with Daisy and her coworker Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) at the Rovers.

While Daisy grates her teeth in a smile, Glenda thinks it’s a great idea.

Later, Christina texts Jenny and Daisy to say she is coming to stay for two weeks, which shocks them.

Unaware of how complicated and erratic Daisy’s relationship with Christina can be, Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) is taken aback when he witnesses Daisy telling her mother she is not welcome.

Daisy suggests that she see her pal in Amsterdam, taking things a step further.

Later, Christina phones the Rovers to report that her passport has expired and she has nowhere to stay, much to the bartender’s dismay.

Christina is curious when Ryan says she should stay and have a drink because it’s the least they can do after she gave them so much money to buy the pub.

How is she going to react?

Could she ruin the plot with Jenny and Daisy?

Before her wedding to Daniel Osbourne in early 2023, Christina was last seen on the Manchester-based program, having made her first real connection in years with her estranged daughter Daisy.

The relationship between the mother and daughter has never been easy since Christina, who blames Jenny for her daughter’s father’s divorce from her, always kept Daisy at a distance.

Christina only texted Daisy after leaving the country following their breakup.

Ryan took the brunt of Daisy’s physical and psychological injuries after her stalker Justin Rutherford assaulted her with acid while Christina was not even there.

What response will she give the attack?

What will she think of Daisy and Daniel splitting up?

Can the pair ever be on the same page?
