Emmerdale spoilers: Another victim lined up as a killer is provoked

In the next episodes of Emmerdale, legendary character Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) will likely become the next victim of the eerie Amit Sharma (Anil Goutam).

It was recently revealed to us that Amit was the reason behind his brother Rishi’s (Bhasker Patel) death when he went down the stairs at Holdgate. Although Amit acknowledged being present when Rishi fell, he said it was an accident every time.

Amit had shoved Rishi on purpose to obtain his share of their uncle’s wealth, as revealed by a chat between him and his attorney Bill (Philip Buck).

It appears that the uncle’s funds are exhausted because Amit has been receiving calls demanding money.

Thus, he promptly went about making friends with the village mainstay after learning that Eric Pollard was (a) extremely wealthy and (b) not in the best of health. It didn’t take long for him to make Eric an offer for a business.

Pollard has gone all in with Amit despite Rodney’s (Patrick Mower) advice that he might want to proceed with caution; this is partially due to the fact that the rest of his family has been treating him like an invalid since he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

He tells Amit that before he can deposit any money to Amit’s account, he must settle with Brenda (Lesley Dunlop), which puts a stop to their relationship in future episodes.

It is evident that Eric Pollard, in spite of his physical weakness, is not easily fooled by Amit’s deceptive and smooth-talking behavior.

In order to assist him, Vinny (Bradley Johnson) brings the keys to Holdgate and begs Eric to visit the residence in order to look for any proof regarding Amit.

Vinny tries to divert Amit’s attention in the interim, but he’s not the best at lying, so soon after Amit starts to get suspicious, he leaves the Hide.

Vinny tries to call Eric in a panic to let him know that Amit is headed home, but Eric’s phone is set to quiet. He doesn’t realize that the killer is approaching because he is too preoccupied searching through Amit’s papers for a hint that he is dealing with a murderer.

Is Pollard going to suffer the same fate as Rishi?
