ITV Coronation Street fans ‘work out’ Lauren Bolton’s killer after resident drops clue

Coronation Street fans are convinced Bethany Platt is hiding something and could be linked to Lauren Bolton’s disappearance after a clue in a recent episode.

After a clue in a recent episode, viewers of Coronation Street have conjectured a link between Lucy Fallon’s character Bethany Platt and the disappearance of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton). Following her disappearance last month, blood splatters and human tissue were found in her apartment, raising the possibility that Lauren is dead.

Given that the blood and tissue found match blunt head trauma, DI Swain (Vicky Myers) advised murder suspect Roy Cropper (David Neilson) that the evidence points to her most certainly having been struck on the head. Though nothing has been proven, there are a number of ideas on what happened to Lauren and who might be involved.

It remains unclear to viewers if she is actually dead, if she was murdered, or if she is still alive but in hiding. Could Lauren have been abducted by her mysterious ex-boyfriend who appeared to be physically abusing her and tormenting her during covert visits to her apartment?

Additionally, Lauren maintained an O-Vidz account where she uploaded pornographic material for viewers; however, it’s unclear if any of her subscribers are connected to this. Viewers suspect locals Max Turner (Paddy Bever) and Bobby Crawford (Jack Carroll), and the police are looking into Roy and Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard).

According to a different opinion, her father, who is incarcerated for his connections to a far-right organization, may be connected to her disappearance.

Days before Lauren vanished, she talked with Bethany about her plan to disclose her story of being groomed by the gang in a magazine interview.

Fans are now wondering whether Lauren’s disappearance has anything to do with Bethany, who has been receiving threats from Lauren’s acquaintances.

Fans suspected Bethany was involved when, in a recent episode, Daniel asked her about Roy’s imprisonment and she appeared to react strangely.

Even that Bethany might have hurt Lauren has been mentioned by some viewers, while others think she might have helped her hide. Fans shared their theories on social media.

A fan remarked, “Definitely something to do with Bethany and her mystery phone calls.”

Another concurred: ” Another concurred, saying: “She’s got a secret, did you notice that look she gave Daniel when he inquired if she believed Roy had killed her? Doubting.”

“I think Bethany knows where she is,” a third commenter said.

One person asked, “Did Bethany do Lauren in?!?” In response, another fan said, “That was on my mind as well! Her final glance suggested that she was either involved or knew something.”
