Coronation Street fans ‘work out’ Tyrone Dobbs’ biological dad and it isn’t Kevin Webster

Watchers of Coronation Street on ITV were given additional information about Cassie Plummer’s difficult history on Friday’s episode.

Viewers of Coronation Street think they have figured out who Tyrone Dobbs’ (Alan Halsall’s) real father is. Viewers witnessed his mother, Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney), discuss parts of her difficult background during the show.

When Cassie saw that Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton), a missing girl, was an obvious sex worker, she became noticeably agitated. Recovering addict compelled to recall some horrific experiences, she admitted to Tyrone that she had previously engaged in prostitution of her own.

Cassie confesses to her mother Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) during a heart-to-heart that her father knew, even if she didn’t tell her at the time. “Having a daughter who sold herself, that’s what killed him,” she uttered.

When Cassie was fifteen, her older boyfriend would force her to have sex with people in exchange for money, she revealed this to Evelyn. She was curious as to how her father had learned about her involvement in sex business.

She admitted in the program, “I guess deep down I wanted to be caught, because he found some condoms and £100 in my bag.” I needed someone to intervene and come to my aid. However, my father was unable to handle it. “I shamed the family and told me not to tell you,” he continued, giving me a slap.

She disclosed to Tyrone that one of her previous clients was his biological father during their chat.

Evelyn admitted that her father was aware of her pregnancy as well, and she was perplexed as to why he never told her.

But Cassie abruptly ended the talk by asking her mother to keep Tyrone from knowing.

There are some things it’s best for him not to know, she begged.

Viewers thought Tyrone’s father might be Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) when Cassie first landed in Weatherfield because they saw some friction between him and the newcomer.

But watchers are worried that Tyrone’s father’s identity might take a far darker turn after her Friday night chat with Evelyn.

ITV fan @cupcakecoutur12 posed the question, “Is Cassie’s dad Tyrone’s dad?” on Twitter.

Concurring, @CavoloChe said, “Gulp! I thought the same thing too!” in response.
