When Bobby Crawford found Lauren Bolton’s apartment empty and seemed deserted, he sounded the alarm because he was concerned for her safety. On ITV, the mystery has been progressively revealed, raising questions about Roy Cropper’s behavior.
Roy, the cafe owner played by David Neilson, was formerly a respected character in Weatherfield, but after Lauren vanished, he was seen cleaning her apartment, making him a strong suspect. In a recent episode of the Manchester-based sitcom, Bobby and Carla Connor called the police when Sean Tully discovered blood in Lauren’s apartment.
Following Lauren’s disappearance, a murder inquiry was launched, and in a startling development, Roy was taken into custody and subjected to internet trolling. Roy’s situation deteriorates when he tells Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) and his niece Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) that he has been summoned to return to the police station for additional interrogation.
Max Turner (Paddy Bever) chooses to pay Reece a covert visit after overhearing his stepmother Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) and father David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) discuss the potential participation of Lauren’s dad’s far-right party.
There, he discloses that Roy, who only cleaned Lauren’s apartment, is being falsely charged with her murder. Afterwards, Roy is alone himself in the cafe with the exception of two dubious-looking males who are seated at a table.

Some speculate that Lauren’s father, who is incarcerated for far-right group offenses, may be connected to her disappearance. Lauren spoke with Bethany shortly before she disappeared with the intention of telling a magazine about how she was groomed by the gang.
Fans are now wondering whether Lauren’s disappearance has anything to do with Bethany, who has been receiving threats from Lauren’s acquaintances. Is there any chance she knows where the missing teen is?
Viewers perceived Bethany’s response in a recent episode as being suspicious when Daniel questioned her about Roy’s arrest. Although some fans wondered if Bethany could have hurt Lauren, others think it’s more likely that she helped her hide.
