After ITV revived the celebrity edition of the reality series, the actor stayed in the renowned home for three weeks.
Colson Smith, a star of Coronation Street, wrote a message to his supporters and admirers following his victory on Celebrity Big Brother. After ITV revived the celebrity edition of the reality series earlier this month, the actor stayed in the renowned home for three weeks.
Alongside him when he entered the house were X Factor contestant Louis Walsh, novelist and broadcaster Fern Britton, Nikita Kuzmin from Strictly Come Dancing, theater sensation Marisha Wallace, and YouTube presenter Zeze Millz.
However, after the well-known residents of the renowned property were eliminated, Colson—best known for his role as Craig Tinker in the ITV serial opera—along with Louis, Nikita, Fern, Bradley Riches from Heartstopper, and David Potts from Ibiza Weekender—made it to the finale.
Six years ago, when the show was aired on Channel 5, Ryan Thomas, a former Coronation Street actor, was the final Celebrity Big Brother winner. Nevertheless, Colson came in a very creditable third after winner David and runner-up Nikita, with over a million people watching his triumph.
Colson has now spoken up, expressing gratitude with a string of “thank you”s after a few days. “I just wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone for their love, support & encouragement during my time in the Big Brother House,” the soap star said, sharing his official CBB promo photo.
It was an incredible honor to have a minor role in this legendary program. Kudos to all those working behind the scenes for producing such a fantastic presentation. I’m grateful to be your Big Brother. I’d want to thank my closest friends Jack and Thom for their incredible work on my Instagram. From the whole @onthesofashow family, thanks for all the love, Jack, Ben, and Producer Henry.”
“I’m really proud of what I’ve accomplished,” he continued. All set to return in the morning to the cobbles. Colson. Ellie Leach, a former co-star and Strictly Come Dancing winner, was among those who responded quickly, writing: “soooooo proud of you bestie.” The messages soon began to pour in.
Colson continued to post updates on his Instagram Story while he prepared for his return to the cobbles by getting into his first run in weeks. The 25-year-old said, “Craig Tinker is back and in the thick of it,” while posting a selfie of himself brushing up on his tales. He used an emoji of a policeman to symbolize his persona.
