ITV Coronation Street exit as fans ‘work out’ Damon Hay is framed by villain

Even though he is incarcerated, Coronation Street villain Harvey Gaskell continues to cause problems for his brother Damon Hay.

Fans of ITV Coronation Street may have anticipated Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths)’s exit after his imprisonment at the conclusion of Monday night’s episode.

After his brother Harvey (Will Mellor) persuaded him to perform another dubious job for him, the scoundrel found himself in more legal hot water with the authorities. Harvey’s friends declared they wanted to kill him, even though he had told his girlfriend Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) that the security guard was aware of the crime. Things then took an unexpected turn.

But Damon was having none of it, and they withdrew before the cops could arrive when he threatened them with a hammer. Sarah was devastated when Damon was arrested at the end of Monday’s episode, even though she thought he had gotten away with the crime.

“Take Harry to your mum’s the long way,” yelled Damon as the armed police exited the vehicle. Just go ahead and do it.” Damon raised his hands in the air and turned himself in to the encircling cops before Sarah could react.

Damon begged Harry not to shoot him, saying, “Look, I’m on the ground.” Harry rushed in his direction. Sarah said, “Come on, sweetheart, let’s go,” as they turned to leave.

Damon yelled, “I’m sorry,” and was then driven out in a police van.

Fans have been using social media to discuss who they believe “stitched” Damon up after the crime, in the wake of his arrest. One even implied that he might wind up sharing a cell with his brother in prison.

One fan proposed, taking to X: “So Harvey gets his goons to grass Damon up.” Who is astonished?”

“I wonder who blabbed? Damon got arrested,” inquired one more.

Another continued: “So the security guard is going to admit Harvey was behind it and because Damon said does my brother know it implicates him.”

A fourth said, “Damon, another one for the axe list.”

Another person made the following suggestion: Whoa, is Damon going to have to share a cell with Harvey in prison? I think this has a lot of potential to be really interesting, people. In either case, go forward.

“Totally get Damon did what he did for all the right reasons to protect Sarah & Harry but still.” (sic)

When word spread that Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) would no longer be able to eat solid foods and that his speech was becoming worse, he was dealt yet another blow.

Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) prepared a farewell dinner for Summer (Harriet Bibby) in an effort to lift Paul’s spirits. Paul then turned the meal into a drink.
