Fans of the soap opera never saw Lauren, who had an enigmatic boyfriend before leaving, go, and it appears that she only notified Roy Cropper and a few other close friends about her intention to depart Weatherfield.
Bobby called the police to report Lauren missing, and since Roy is a kind person, suspicions have been raised about him. This is especially true after Roy was mistakenly arrested for the murder of his former employee after he was seen cleaning Lauren’s apartment.
Next week, the ITV soap opera will provide additional details as the disappearance of Lauren continues to captivate viewers and inhabitants of the Cobbles. In upcoming episodes, Bernie Winter discovers to her horror that Lauren’s mother’s contact information has been put online when her phone pings.
After reading the post, Roy is horrified. Against Evelyn Plummer’s better judgment, he contacts Lauren’s mother, Kerry, and leaves a voicemail expressing his condolences. A patron of the café later makes fun of Roy, implying that he is to blame for Lauren’s abduction, following his communication with Lauren’s mother, Kerry.
Shortly after, ferocious Bernie and David Platt come to Roy’s aid. Roy has also been ruthlessly subjected to internet trolling by cyber-sleuths. But even with Bernie and David’s thoughtful gesture, Roy is horrified to see how much trouble he’s caused his buddies.
It happened on Friday night’s program. Bobby was outraged because he saw Max Turner, who was perplexed as to how the media discovered Lauren’s O-Vidz, in an internet article. While the boys were looking for Sabrina, Max’s girlfriend, Bobby mentioned that she might be the one.
After chatting with Sabrina, the child reassured Max and Bobby that she wasn’t the one who leaked Lauren’s story to the media and that she was offended that they believed she would. Then Sabrina stormed off, which made Max feel awful. Later, Sabrina made a house call to Max, who was distraught, telling him that it was done and she couldn’t stay with someone who didn’t trust her.
Viewers questioned whether Sabrina was assisting Lauren in hiding after seeing that she had an unidentified partner and that she had bruises on her arms, prompting questions on Twitter and now X.
