After disclosing that she had received a diagnosis of psychosis, Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan thanked supporters for their encouragement.
The actress Rosie Webster used her Instagram stories to express gratitude for all of the supportive comments she had gotten and to admit that she had been afraid to talk about her issues with mental health.
In the video, she stated, “I wanted to say thank you so much for all your lovely messages.”
Although it undoubtedly seems ridiculous, I was a little frightened and apprehensive before posting yesterday. However, I do appreciate the messages.
Helen recently disclosed that she was given a psychosis diagnosis after experiencing a “very bad” response to her ADHD medication.
In an honest Instagram post, the actress said, “I didn’t really feel that much different when I took the kids away for new year’s.” “I felt really not great in my head over Christmas.”
After explaining that she was “emotionally struggling” following her breakup with partner Scott Sinclair in 2022, she continued, “I felt terrible, so I was due my theatre tour, which I was excited about so when I came back from holiday I thought it was best for me to take some medication so I’d feel better and be able to cope better with being a working single mother of three.”
“It was an ADHD medication, and I had a really bad reaction to it that sent me into a psychosis that I didn’t know I was in for a few days.”
Helen continued by expressing her “heartbreak” at having to give up her position as Miss Scarlett in the UK run of Cluedo 2, which is now being portrayed by Corrie co-star and Strictly Come Dancing champion Ellie Leach. However, Helen’s primary concern was improving things for her kids.
She continued by saying that she had worked very hard on herself and was now in a much better position, thanking therapy for supporting her on her path.
After the actress spoke herself, friends and admirers showered her with support in the comments section of her honest post.
Helen and Scott decided to call it quits on their 13-year relationship in 2022. Three children, two-year-old Charlie, five-year-old Delilah, and eight-year-old Matilda, are shared by the ex-couple.
