Little Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall) felt so hopeless after months of merciless and vicious bullying on Coronation Street that he considered ending his life.
A deranged figure named Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) started the bullying by coercing Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) into making fun of Liam.
They threatened the youngster online, recorded him getting trash thrown all over him, and verbally harassed him. Liam was so afraid for his life that Mason even threatened him with a knife.
Maria (Samia Longchambon) and Gary (Mikey North) were unaware of Liam’s suffering until his school discovered that he had been using his laptop to study suicide. When they discovered that their son had been through so much without them knowing, they were understandably devastated.
The fact that Maria had nearly lost her kid upset her more than anyone. She promised to protect him, and part of that protection was to watch over him in case he descended to the depths of despair once more.
Naturally, Maria’s stress level has increased because she hasn’t returned to work since the Liam incident. In upcoming episodes, Audrey (Sue Nicholls) warns her that she will have to find a successor if she doesn’t return to work.
Maria is forced to return to the salon because she needs the money, but her focus isn’t truly on her profession. She should be fixing a bride-to-be’s hair, but she can’t stop sneaking glances at her phone.
She has a concealed camera at her house, and she can monitor what goes on there when Gary is with Liam using an app.
After a considerable amount of time, she realises with horror that her kid hasn’t come out of the restroom after watching him enter.
Maria runs home out of fear that Liam may have hurt himself and leaves her client, leaving Audrey speechless.
