Rhona struggles to keep her cool in court.
RHONA Goskirk is left horrified as her ex Gus twists the knife in brutal court scenes in Emmerdale.
The former couple have been at loggerheads for months, ever since Rhona discovered Gus had stolen her frozen embryos to have a baby with his wife, Lucy.
However, until Rhona and her family volunteered to assist, Gus was left to care for his newborn daughter Ivy alone when Lucy passed away unexpectedly.
But after learning that Gus intended to transfer aboard with little Ivy, Rhona became frightened and abducted the child.
After being taken into custody, Rhona will eventually appear in court in the following scenes, but she finds it difficult to focus on the accusations against her.
When they go to court, Rhona is terrified as Gus starts to fabricate the story.
As soon as the prosecution starts to cast doubt on Gus’ moral integrity, Rhona’s defense strikes back. Rhona believes that things are starting to change for the better, but will Vanessa be vulnerable to the prosecution’s questions?
As all of this is going on, Paddy’s efforts to divert April’s attention fail miserably as the Woolpack begins to argue about Rhona’s legal case.
Returning to the courtroom, Rhona takes the stand to address the charges leveled against her character by the prosecution. Rhona starts to lose her temper and snaps at Gus.
Rhona kicks herself for being so agitated as the judge calls the meeting to a close.
The Woolpack discussion rages on, but April puts the group in its place by asking how the jury will decide if even Rhona’s pals can’t agree.
When a smug Gus takes pride in Rhona’s courtroom surrender, Rhona is left rattled.
Rhona’s destiny is in doubt as the jury leaves to deliberate, and she paces nervously in anticipation of their verdict.
Has her fury changed their opinion? Will Gus’s cunning plan succeed?
