Former Emmerdale and Downton Abbey actress Amy Nuttall had a devastating way of finding out her actor husband Andrew Buchan was ‘cheating’ as she takes him back
Even after she discovered her husband Andrew Buchan was “cheating,” Amy Nuttall, a soap opera actress, has said that she and her husband are back together.
The 41-year-old actress, who had previously been in Downton Abbey and Emmerdale, was devastated when Andrew broke up with her the previous year after developing feelings for a co-star. Leila Farzad, 42, an actress and co-star of the BBC crime drama Better, moved in with him. Following the grief, Amy and Andrew reconciled, only to part ways again a few months later. Amy has stated that they are once again back together in a recent interview.
Amy and Andrew were married for eleven years and had two children together. During the alleged affair, Leila was also married. Days before Christmas last year, according to sources, Andrew informed Amy he was leaving. Amy reportedly thought Andrew was unfaithful to her after discovering underwear that he had purportedly purchased for a different lady since it was too small for her.
The fact that her spouse was purportedly “away a lot” and “staying in hotels near to their home” was another red flag that he was playing games. Leila was seen wearing her wedding band with her husband James Maizels in the aftermath of the allegations. According to reports from June of last year, Amy was believed to be reunited with her husband Andrew.
The actor was seen leaving the family’s Buckinghamshire house while sporting his wedding band. It followed reports that Amy had been “crushed and crying every day” after learning her husband had cheated on her. The reconnection was brief, however, since Amy ejected him in August of last year.
“It took a lot for Amy to give the marriage another chance but she thought it was worth one last roll of the dice,” the insider said in an interview with The Sun at the time. She doesn’t think he’s cheated on her again, but there’s no indication that he has. Although she is clearly devastated, she also acknowledges that their time together is coming to an end.” Friends said Andrew disregarded the “rules” for marriage that Amy, who was shattered, had created.
The Sun was informed by a source that the first restriction prohibited Andrew from getting in touch with Leila. The second was that while working remotely, he had to log in via FaceTime. The fourth rule was that both partners must always have access to each other’s phones, and the third was that they would review their occupations to guarantee parity. The ‘777 strategy’ was discussed in the last three clauses, which propose that couples go on a date every seven days, spend the night away every seven weeks, and have an adult-only vacation every seven months.
Amy and Andrew first became romantically involved in 2007. They are parents to a younger boy and a daughter who was born in April 2015. Speaking to The Sunday Times about her finances, Amy discussed their reunion, giving the impression that the pair had made up.
