Fans of Emmerdale think Ruby Fox-Miligan may be involved in more activities than have been disclosed.

On Thursday night’s episode of the ITV soap opera, the character lost control as she vented her frustrations at the Dingles over their abuse of her husband Caleb Miligan once more. The two have been at odds nonstop since their reconnection a few weeks ago, with Ruby in particular demanding assurance on a regular basis.

She has previously disclosed that she was anxious for Caleb to love her and put her above everyone else, but he had abandoned her and cheated on her. Ruby feels pushed aside and unneeded because of his intense desire to reunite with his long-lost family.

In recent episodes, their interactions have become more intense, ranging from taunting to dumping him in it to their showdowns. The same may be said of Ruby’s unintentional injury to Caleb’s sister Chas Dingle during their vacation to the Dales on Thursday, which occurred only a few weeks after Ruby had a double mastectomy.

Before revealing the shocking information that she and Caleb had seen Cain’s jail term back in 2022, around the time Caleb attempted to find them all, Ruby had been criticising Chas and the Dingles. After he had an affair with Tracy Metcalfe, the wife of his nephew Nate Robinson, the Dingles shunned him.

Ruby became enraged with his family on the most recent episode, and she eventually snapped at her husband again. Chas was caught in the crossfire this time, leaving the others and herself in disbelief.

After that, Caleb informed Ruby that because he wasn’t going anywhere with her, she should go and move away without him. Although Ruby was in a frantic attempt to mend their relationship, he labelled her poisonous and that she often walked off without allowing him to speak.

He called her “boring” for talking about it when she reminded him that she had left her family for him, but then he told her that everything was always “about her”. He told her he was tired of her and that he felt “young and free” and happiest in the months he had spent alone.

However, after Caleb gave her the order to go, viewers conjectured as to whether there was more to the story and that Ruby may be dominating and manipulating her husband. “I think Ruby is a controller like Tom, but at this point obviously Tom is a lot worse,” a fan said on social media.

“I think it could go down that road with Ruby and Caleb like Tom and belle.” Another person concurred: “Ruby is controlling Caleb’s emotions. Why is this not being discussed by anyone?
