A significant figure will be making a big comeback to Coronation Street as Weatherfield looks for “missing” Lauren.

For a future plot centered on the Lauren Bolton case, Kimberly Hart Simpson will reprise her role as Nicky Wheatley. The young adolescent vanished a few weeks ago, and Roy Cropper is now under investigation for her death or disappearance. DS Swain observed that the blood they discovered at her apartment was consistent with an attack of some kind, which is why the police are certain she must be dead.

Kimberly will play Nicky once again in the next weeks as Daniel searches for his former buddy in an attempt to determine who murdered Lauren, as both Roy Cropper and he are under suspicion.

In an attempt to defend his reputation, he reaches out to Nicky, who has experience working as an escort and who first connected with Daniel more than four years ago when he went to her after the death of his wife Sinead from cancer. Daniel is optimistic that Nicky, who is now employed as a community outreach worker, would be able to talk to the girls she helps on the streets and learn more about Lauren’s past.

Daniel is overjoyed to have Nicky return.

It’s obvious that Nicky and Daniel are connected, but will it cause problems for him and Bethany? Given that the girls are all obviously afraid and feeling vulnerable in the wake of Lauren’s death, Daniel wonders how much leverage Nicky will have over them. Is it possible for her to extract further information from them that might exonerate Daniel and Roy about Lauren’s passing?

She added, “It is a pleasure to be back on the cobbles,” in reference to her comeback. The experiences of women working in the sex business are often ignored, denigrated, or kept silent. But not at Coronation Street, where they respectfully examine the society these women live in, the effects it has on the neighborhood, and sometimes the risks associated with their line of work.

“The narrative of Lauren Bolton has made it possible for other characters, like Cassie, to come forward and be secure, but regrettably it has also resulted in the disastrous consequences of conspiracy theories spread by other people. Since Nicky has defied all clichés, I’m excited for the audience to learn more about her current situation and identity.”
