Emmerdale viewers think they have figured out a new twist involving Eric Pollard, Kerry Wyatt and her stolen necklace on the hit ITV soap
Watchers of Emmerdale believe they have uncovered a fresh angle between Kerry Wyatt and Eric Pollard.
It occurs when Kerry, who was left off at the home by PC Swirling, has returned to the hamlet after leaving to work on a friend’s cruise ship. Kerry was forced to clarify that she had been wrongly accused of stealing by her former fiancé, but she had assured her daughter Amy that this was not the case, after the embarrassing homecoming.
Later on, however, the truth came to light when Kerry took jewels and cash out of her outfit. Kerry has been assisting her daughter Amy in planning her wedding to Matty Barton since her return, encouraging Amy to spend whatever she likes since she would be paying the bills in secret and is expecting that her stolen items will give funds for the big day.
Kerry’s strategy, however, was foiled on Friday night when she turned to Eric for assistance in obtaining a fair price for her jewellery instead of trying in vain to sell it after being pursued for wedding money. Afterwards, Eric broke the terrible news, admitting that the necklace is phoney, with phoney stones and the signature questionable.
Eric’s offer of only £60 for the item devastated Kerry, while Amy’s excitement about having spent a lot on wedding accessories after Kerry advised her to “go mad” also showed how much she had spent. As viewers turned to Twitter, now X, to voice their opinions, many were quick to surmise that Eric could be bluffing this Kerry. “Oh, I’ve heard that one before, Eric,” said one individual. “Don’t trust him #Emmerdale,” one user said, while another said, “Eric getting his hands on the glam necklace #emmerdale.” Still another account commented, “Rip her off eric she deserves it #emmerdale.”
It seems like Kerry will be frantically trying to get the money needed to pay for the big day in later scenes. She hasn’t got the money to pay for the wedding, so she wants to sell her jewellery to get the money. However, when Suzy finds her, she tells her that she must make the payment.
Leyla and Suzy are at Home Farm setting everything up for the event, but Kerry hasn’t paid them yet. When Matty and Amy go to the wedding rehearsal, they are unaware of their financial difficulties.
Subsequently, Kim appears and requests payment for the venue, leaving Kerry feeling discouraged that the necklace hasn’t generated the type of revenue she had hoped for. Eric is astonished to learn that she won’t be able to afford the wedding at the same time.
When Kerry finally acknowledges on the wedding day that she cannot afford to pay for their special day, she knows she is in danger. The news that the wedding is cancelled comes as a shock to Matty, but shortly after Leyla gets a mysterious call, the plans are changed again. Has the caller recently paid for the wedding and who is they?
