Kimberly Hart-Simpson of CORONATION Street has confirmed her return to the soap opera and offered viewers a glimpse inside her new house.
When Kimberly, 37, shared a photo on Instagram at the bottom of a sleek-looking staircase, her followers were taken aback.
Holding up her house keys and pouting for the camera, the actress wrote, “New home day.”
The blonde stunner chose a laid-back outfit, posing next to a set of stairs with a large glass panel and a purple sweatshirt.
Not only has her life changed significantly, but last month it was revealed that she would be returning to the cobbles in the next weeks for a cameo appearance.
After departing the ITV serial opera two years ago, Kimberly will return to her role as escort Nicky Wheatley for an undisclosed number of episodes.
Although the specifics of her homecoming story are unknown, it’s thought to have something to do with her character’s friend Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard).
After he hired Nicky to help with his wife Sinead Tinker’s funeral, Daniel never would have guessed that they would become friends. Nicky was very similar to his late wife.
Kimberly left the soap opera, and she is currently pursuing a new profession in reupholstery.
Her company, Hart-Work, repurposes antique and apparel items.
In June 2020, Kimberly’s character Nicky made her Coronation Street debut as Daniel’s romantic interest.
After leaving the Cobbles after only four months, Kimberly said in December 2021 that she would be back in 2022.
“So it’s not a case of leaving Corrie,” she stated in reference to her departure from the show last year. More than anything, I returned to finish a plot that was left unfinished at the time.”
