The actor Alex Bain, who has been a cast member of Coronation Street for fifteen years, has said that he has shot his farewell scenes for the show. “That’s a wrap,” he wrote beside a photo that he uploaded to his Instagram Stories.
Earlier this week, rumours that Alex had been fired from the serial opera surfaced, despite the original reports that he had left the show. It was said that he requested his employment back at a later time.

Alex posted a boomerang video of himself giving the thumbs up and pouting at the camera while wearing his large Corrie on-set coat. “That’s a wrap for Simon Barlow everyone,” he said. To everyone at Coronation Street, I am grateful for the finest fifteen years of my life.
“P.S: I’m going to miss this coat, seriously,” he said after that.
His subsequent story depicted a gloomy, dismal day outside the ITV Studios. Alex protested in the caption, however, saying, “I love this place so much, even though the skies are grey.” My dear Corrie family, I adore you all.
Has Alex left Corrie?
It was reported before Christmas that Alex had made the decision to leave the ITV soap opera, having been a part of it since he was seven years old. About the significant move, he was said to be “extremely excited.”
“Alex is sad to be leaving Coronation Street because it really is like a family,” a source stated to The Sun at the time. However, he understands that it’s time to move on.
“He’s very excited about the future and other opportunities,” they said.
Since then, however, there have been allegations that the 22-year-old had no say in the matter. Earlier last week, a different insider claimed to The Sun that he was “putting on a brave face.”
According to the source, Alex has been pretending to be courageous and resigning from the programme, but in actuality, his superiors felt it was time for him to move on.
Alex finds it really emotional, and he is genuinely reluctant to go.
“He has been pleading with supervisors to remember him in the future. He is itching to return.
Although the details of Simon’s leave plot are unknown, he is now attempting to get stepmother Leanne to invest in his company. He had a rough start to the year after overindulging in alcohol and getting into an accident while intoxicated. Simon is making an effort to sort things out in his life, but will he be able to do so and go on, or will the exit send him completely crazy?

In the meanwhile, Alex became a parent himself when he was seventeen years old. In December 2018, shortly after Lydia-Rose turned sixteen, he gave birth to their daughter with his then-girlfriend Levi Selby.
Nevertheless, the couple separated, according to a source who stated: “They were incredibly happy together and thrilled about the birth of their baby girl.” However, despite their shared experiences, they are still very young.
After that, the soap star had a brief engagement to dancer Mollie Lockwood. Alex gushed, “I can’t spend my life with anyone else,” to OK! magazine after dropping down on one knee.
But it was revealed last year that Alex and his aspiring actress fiancée had tragically broken up. “They’re devastated the relationship didn’t work out, but they’re both so young it’s hard to make such a big commitment early on in their lives,” a source told The Sun.
