Eric blackmailed another villager as he went on the warpath
EMMERDALE fans think they have rumbled Eric Pollard’s downfall in an epic revenge twist – ranting “he deserves it!”
Earlier this week, Eric stepped in at the last minute to pay for Amy and Matty’s wedding, after Amy’s mum Kerry was unable to trump up the cash.
Kerry was devastated to learn that the pricey jewellery she had taken on a cruise ship was only worth £60 from Eric. Kerry had placed all of her hopes on selling it.
After that, he intervened to cover the costs of the wedding so that it could go, and he led Amy down the aisle.
However, he was then seen getting into a vehicle and going to meet with a friend who was a pawnbroker, where they celebrated selling Kerry’s jewellery for thousands of dollars.
After defrauding Kerry of money that rightfully belonged to her, he proceeded to demand that she sign a loan arrangement and repay him in full, plus interest.
This is not the first evil deed the retiree has committed this week; he has also demanded obedience from Jai Sharma in the midst of a fresh argument with Victoria Sugden and threatened him over an event involving his biological father Amit a few weeks ago.
Victoria deserted his grandson, Jacob Gallagher, and requested that Jai fire her from The Hide, which infuriated Eric.
Eric was unaware that Victoria had been coerced into it by Jacob’s mother Leyla, but he didn’t care since he was seeking retribution.
He wanted to see her suffer, so he informed her employer Jai that Jacob had been abandoned by Victoria.
He said to Jai, “She seems intent on destroying my family’s happiness so I’d like you to sack her,” but Jai said that he was crazy to think he could fire her.
Eric said, “No, helping you with your father and banishing him from this village is ridiculous.”
“And it’s time to pay that favour forward, quid pro quo.”
Eric’s actions have not pleased Emmerdale viewers, and the compassion he had gained after his Parkinson’s Disease diagnosis has vanished.
An irate fan posted on X, “vic and kerry to team up take Eric down I’m sorry but he deserves a comeuppance!!” demanding that Eric pay for his actions.
And another said, “Of course he will,” in reference to whether Eric would be apprehended. Kerry probably says, “I’m just popping into town, and I saw it in a store.”
Kerry had originally taken the jewellery from a cruise ship, a third person said, adding, “Eric will be caught for handling stolen goods.”
