The teacher has made what could be a costly mistake
CORONATION Street fans have been left baffled after they spotted something very strange about Daniel Osbourne’s donated clothes.
This week, the teacher has found himself drawn further into the police investigation around Lauren Bolton’s disappearance.
Bobby Crawford unintentionally led the police to Daniel’s door, even though Daniel had been the teen’s tutor before she vanished. Roy Cropper has been the case’s main suspect.
Bobby was called back to the station for more interrogation, where DS Swain grilled a visibly distressed Bobby and reminded him that tampering with the legal system is a severe crime that carries a jail term.
When Bobby got home, he informed Carla that he had seen the burglar in Lauren’s apartment wearing a black coat with a fur-trimmed hood and a balaclava while under duress.
As Cassie, Evelyn, and Nina listened interestedly, Bobby later disclosed that he had modified his account because he had suddenly recalled witnessing a guy fleeing out of Lauren’s apartment.
Cassie recalled seeing a coat at the charity store that met Bobby’s description, not too long after Lauren vanished, and she shared this information with Evelyn and Nina.
After leaving the charity store, Evelyn and Cassie informed Nina that the coat was gone but that some other clothing had been brought in with it, and one of the sweaters had a name tag that said Daniels.
When the instructor was taken in for further interrogation, fans of Coronation Street expressed disbelief that a mature man would wear apparel with his own name.
One person posted on X, the previous Twitter platform: “A few of questions… Why was Daniel’s cloak adorned with his name? Is he six? And why has Carla evolved into a total nitwit with delusions?”
A child’s face palming gif was posted by someone else, who also said, “Daniel Osbourne signing all his old clothes before donating them.”
DS Swain was incensed when he learned that Daniel had been instructing Lauren and helped her pay for examinations throughout the interview.
In retaliation, he said that Roy was “the nicest man in the world” and that the police had a habit of arresting kind people.
One irate Coronation Street fan wrote on X, “So is the moral of the story here with Daniel and Roy not to be nice to people and do a good deed lol.” Other viewers were similarly outraged.

Another said on Twitter: “I think one of the most infuriating things in all this is people’s good deeds being used against them.”
