Coronation Street legends reel after utterly horrific discovery in murder story

As cherished dog Freddie is dognapped, Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman), Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher), and Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) are in for a major shock in forthcoming scenes on Coronation Street.

After his buddy Melvyn, a bat aficionado, passed away, Roy Cropper (David Neilson) was compelled to take in Freddie, who first appeared on our screens last year.

The owner of the café, who was completely inexperienced in hound care, concluded it would be best if he co-parented the Shih Tzu with his closest friend Evelyn.

In later scenes, after discovering that Roy is accused of murder, young Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) offers to walk Freddie in order to assist.

He was detained until the end of the trial after being hauled in earlier this week for further questioning about the disappearance of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).

Sam leaves without seeing that one of the nasty trolls who has been harassing Roy online is sitting in the corner.

Later, Asha advises sharing pictures of the dog online in hopes of his safe return after word spreads throughout Victoria Street that he has run off.

But as you can see from the spoiler video above, things take a dark turn.

When Nina picks up her phone, she finds that the detective has abducted Freddie in a terrible manner and posted a video of him imprisoned inside a box on ClipHop, Corrie’s take on TikTok.

In a nearby park, the callous dognapper claims to have seen him clearing a rose garden and remarks, “Maybe he found one of Lauren’s bones.”

He continues by saying that until Roy confesses, he won’t return Freddie.

Later on in the narrative, Georgia Taylor’s character Toyah Habeeb will start to worry that her deepest secret has been revealed.

She panics when she finds out that the detectives are excavating the location where Freddie was discovered, and she subsequently admits that she buried a stillborn child there after her 2001 rape.

It seems that this story line will be among the most contentious on the ITV soap opera; several fans and even a former co-star have already called on the producers to boycott the scenes prior to their airing.
