Coronation Street fans say ‘absolutely not’ and ‘no way’ after spotting Eileen Grimshaw problem

Fans of Coronation Street were shocked when they identified an issue with Eileen Grimshaw’s house ahead of her impending departure. On Monday, April 22, on their most recent outing to the cobbles, Eileen was seen answering a significant query from her partner, Geroge Shuttleworth.

Watchers of the ITV soap opera saw Tony Maudsley’s character George visiting No. 11, accompanied by Eileen and his sister Glenda Shuttleworth, who had stopped by from the Rovers to drop off some laundry.

Then, after falling in love with Eileen (played by the late, great Sue Cleaver), Undertaker George disclosed that he was amending his will to reflect his present situation. He also asked Eileen if she would want to take over as his power of attorney.

Glenda said Eileen could handle it, even though she seemed astonished at the idea. However, Glenda became enraged and walked out when George sneered and said that she wouldn’t be able to accomplish it because of her apparent lack of organisational abilities. Todd entered the meeting as Eileen accepted George’s offer and said he needed to make things right.

Afterwards, an untrusting Eileen phones the undertakers and discovers her son Todd Grimshaw there, bribing George with tea and cookies before telling him her son was sucking up in the hopes of being named in his will. Though the home is often referred to as the “Tardis” owing to the large number of people that live there at once, it was the scenes in the No. 11 kitchen that prompted Corrie fans to voice their opinions. The kitchen only seemed to have a tiny fridge.

said @LouiseHazeldine: “No. Without a doubt, @itvcorrie… There is no way that the 4098 residents of Eileen’s home could survive on that little refrigerator by themselves! #Corrie. In response, @LeroyStHillwell wrote: “Eileen’s TARDIS has a small student fridge…..sure #Corrie.” It’s a little fridge, as @sixtiesoldgit pointed out. #corrie

@callyoubetty tweeted: “That fridge at Eileen’s seems small for 4-7 people or whatever number lives there #Corrie.” “Eileen’s kitchen looked bigger,” @vancity.chef continued. Her fridge is just too tiny for four people, therefore she wants a larger one.”

A curious Todd will look on as viewers see George filing away a copy of his new will in later scenes. Following his departure, Todd peruses George’s will, but Eileen intercepts him. When Todd discloses that George is giving him the company, Eileen argues that he would have changed his mind if he had known he was going behind his back.

Todd finds a copy of Archie Shuttleworth’s will and hurriedly tucks it into his pocket as he puts George’s will back into the file. As Eileen packs her last belongings for her trip to Thailand, she informs George that Todd has discovered a copy of Archie’s will, which specifies that Glenda will get half of the company. Todd tries to minimise his father’s will while George follows it. Will George be honest with Glenda?
