Emmerdale’s Chas reveals mastectomy scars as she refuses to be defined by her breasts

Chas Dingle was sadly diagnosed with breast cancer and decided to get a life-saving double mastectomy in emotional Emmerdale scenes and she looks at her scars for the first time next week

Next week, Chas Dingle will view her double mastectomy scars for the first time.

After getting support from encouraging ladies, Lucy Pargeter, who plays the beloved character in Emmerdale, wears prosthetics to the Woolpack for the first time.

Determined to return to normalcy, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) reassures her that she doesn’t need them, but Chas becomes enraged when she hears Kerry Wyatt’s (Laura Norton) hurtful remarks because she refuses to let her breasts define her.

Later, Charity decides to look alongside Chas as she laments not having the courage to confront her surgical scars, and Chas boldly raises her top to confront her new reality.

Next week, Chas Dingle will view her breast surgery scars for the first time.

After they slept together, Dr. Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) found a lump in Chas’s breast and advised her to see her GP right away.

Later, Chas got a call to confirm her hospital appointment, and he was overjoyed to invite Liam to go with her. Chas was told the unsettling news that she had triple negative cancer at the visit.

Later, the pun woman advised her male family members to undergo testing for their own security, and her son Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) was given negative news. However, Aaron choked and assured her he was alright when it came to informing his mother about it and seeing her devastated and in anguish after her double mastectomy, not being ready to face it himself.

Chas decided to take things into her own hands and inquired directly of Aaron about the results of the gene test. Unfortunately for him, all Chas needed to know was the little flicker that always accompanied his gaze. He was overwhelmed with rage and denial and was unable to control his feelings.

There is charity available to help Chas.

When Chas saw that Liam had some serious injuries, he became upset and hesitantly inquired as to whether Aaron was at fault. He was forced to tell her the truth even though he was trying very hard to talk her out of going directly to her son. Liam then proceeded to spend a moment with her, generously encouraging her to adopt a supportive stance.

Against all odds, the strategy was successful. Aaron eventually admitted to Chas that he felt that his defective gene was a death sentence when Chas was able to break through his defensive shell.

Weeknights at 7.30 p.m., ITV1 and ITVX broadcast Emmerdale.
