Tom King targeted both his wife Belle Dingle and his recent attack victim Vinny Dingle in cruel Emmerdale scenes on Monday night, as his abuse escalated
In the most recent episode of Emmerdale, Tom King belittled Vinny Dingle for his past after guilt-tripping his wife Belle Dingle into having sex with him.
Only a few days had passed since Tom had, as of yet, not come clean about his violent assault on Vinny and subsequent abandonment of him on the ITV soap opera. In addition, he brutally made accusations about his evil father Carl King in an attempt to put Belle under duress as he persisted in trying to cause a rift between Vinny and Belle.
Vinny confided in friend Belle about something he had kept hidden from others, and Tom used Belle’s cooperation to get her to reveal the information, which he then used to ridicule and harass Vinny when he was still reeling from his assault. Belle and Vinny are unaware that Tom was the one who assaulted him, and that their envy was the reason for it.
For weeks, Tom has been using coercion to control Belle. He has kept her away from family and friends and has made her feel guilty for not wanting to depend on him. Tom recently wrecked the house and said they were burgled in an attempt to convince her to give up her profession and remain at home, making her feel unsafe.
Tom was enraged when he couldn’t find his wife, who had damaged her phone and turned off the house camera, after his efforts to break Belle and Vinny’s connection had failed and he was afraid of their closeness. Since he could no longer use her as a spy, he ran away from home to face her. He then followed her phone to the scrapyard, where he attacked Vinny and hurt him.
He grinned when Belle expressed her anxieties, after he had suggested that Vinny’s assault may have been the result of their recent affair. However, Belle was irritated that Tom wouldn’t leave them alone and insisted on remaining, even though she was eager to spend time with Vinny and watch him in the most recent episode.
Tom attempted to convince Belle to have sex with him in the living room when Vinny went to bed, knowing full well that Vinny was upstairs. He turned on her when she refused, saying that she had made him feel as if he was pressuring her—a reference to his late father Carl King, who had attempted to rape Chas Dingle years before.
Out of shame, Belle ended up sleeping with Tom after being horrified that she had caused him to feel this way. Later, when Vinny walked downstairs, Tom made it rather obvious that they’d had sex and then joked about Vinny never having had sex.
Recently, Vinny had told Belle about his experience with his late wife Liv Flaherty and his lack of partnerships. After asking Belle not to tell anybody that he had never had sex, she complied, but she later told Tom, who made fun of Vinny for it.
Vinny felt deceived by a guilty Belle, and Tom was spotted laughing as he made remarks and got Belle in trouble. He urged Belle to apologise, and Tom followed suit, grinning as he went out the door.
It follows Laura Shaw, the creator of the soap opera, confirming that Tom will soon start abusing Belle physically. The two will be the subject of an upcoming special episode that will concentrate on their private lives.
