ITV soap star Lucy, who returned as Bethany Platt at Christmas, was seen emotional during a heartbreaking interview on her new reality TV show.
Lucy Fallon of ITV Coronation Street has started crying as she talks about “the worst time of her life”. The actress Lucy from ITV soap opera, who made a comeback as Bethany Platt during the holidays, seemed tearful in an interview for her new reality programme.
Lucy spoke about the horrifying experience in a Drama Queens episode. After discussing her loss, Lucy broke down in tears. She and Ryan later had a healthy boy named Sonny Jude in January 2023.
“In the first year that Ryan and I were together, we fell pregnant and we were really, really excited,” she adds in the tragic moment. A scan was scheduled, and…” The soap actress then fought back tears and said, “I feel like I’m going to get upset.”
In the heartbreaking sequences on ITVBe Drama Queens, Lucy continued, saying, “We went for the first scan and I didn’t expect that anything would be wrong and she [the nurse] told us that there was no heartbeat and the baby had died.”
The Corrie actress gave an explanation, saying, “I just feel like we had some harder times before we had Sonny, and I think I was really anxious when I was pregnant with Sonny.” Feeling like we’ve accomplished something amazing when we sort of look back makes it even more memorable.”
Lucy made the devastating revelation that she “never thought something like this would happen to her” back in 2022. She also said that the encounter was “really horrible to deal with.” But she did commend Ryan, her boyfriend, for being “so supportive”.
Luckily, Ryan was able to support his wife Lucy when she had surgery to remove the pregnant tissue. Following the sorrow, Lucy’s pregnancy test revealed she was carrying Sonny when the two were vacationing in the Maldives.
