Beth Cordingly of Emmerdale has declared her love for her boyfriend Ian Kelsey, who used to portray Dave Glover on the ITV soap opera, to be “very in love.”

The three-year-long partner of the actress, who debuted on the programme this year as Ruby Fox-Miligan, said that the former soap opera star was “really supportive” when she was cast in the role.

“Being an actor has its drawbacks, like being taken from home all the time,” she said. Yet he fully understands. He is well-versed with the crew and cast, so it’s a pleasure to be able to tell him about my recent activities and know he will relate.

“It is crucial during your absence, and he is constantly eager to learn about the progress of the filming every day.”

“We both provide a great deal of support for one another’s careers, which is crucial in this highly competitive industry.”

After more than 20 years of dating, Ian and Beth said in The Mirror, “I am very happy and in love with Ian.”

At the beginning of 2024, Beth made her Emmerdale debut. Ruby was first seen as the enigmatic lady who Caleb, her ex-husband, was found having a romantic encounter with.

Fans of soap operas may remember Beth from her 2017 portrayal of Debbie, Shirley Carter’s (Linda Henry) cellmate.

But without a question, her most notable performance is that of PC Kerry Young in The Bill.

Kerry was shot outside Sun Hill Station in 2004, bringing her tragically to an end to her stay there.

Ian, on the other hand, played Kim Tate’s ex-boyfriend Dave Glover in Emmerdale, which is widely recognised as one of the most well-known soap operas.

But after Dave served for three years on the programme, the narrative ended tragically when he perished in a fire in 1997.

Beth Cordingly spoke about the counsel her boyfriend Ian provided her before to her arrival in the Dales back in March of 2024.

“I usually bump into the furniture, but he told me not to do that,” she said.

The ITV soap opera’s Ruby, played by Beth, has been causing the Dingle family a lot of difficulty in recent episodes.

Ruby lost control of her emotions at the bar after expressing her dislike for Caleb’s biological family. After just a few weeks after her double mastectomy, Ruby extended her arm in such a manner that she unintentionally struck Chas (Lucy Pargeter) in the breast. Caleb sprang up and urged her to depart.

In addition, Ruby is the mother of Lewis Cope’s character Nicky, who is seeing Suni Sharma (Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana), a HOP chef.
