Roy is currently awaiting his court date after being charged with Lauren Bolton’s murder.
This week, though, there was a ray of optimism that he may be freed because of fresh information regarding a suspect. In a false statement to the police, Bobby Crawford claimed to have seen a man who did not fit Roy’s description walking out of Lauren’s flat about the time she vanished.
This was not a credible claim, and it was by no means sufficient to get Roy released. Rather, the magistrate determined that he would be detained until the subsequent hearing.
Roy was upset by this setback and began to wonder if Bobby’s witness story was faked, according to the Mirror.
He asked to speak with Bobby’s aunt, Carla Connor, his buddy, about his continued incarceration. Above all, he was interested in finding out if Bobby had been lying.
Carla had no choice but to acknowledge that Bobby had lied to get Roy back, but it had backfired. Roy was furious and called an early end to their discussion, especially after Carla begged him not to report Bobby’s behaviour to the authorities.
From prison, Roy considered the day’s turbulent events and came to a crucial realisation. In a suspenseful sequence that took place near the end of the programme, viewers saw Roy answer a phone and hear DS Swain’s voice asking to identify herself and who the caller was.
Before Roy could say anything further, the show came to an end, leaving viewers to wonder what would come next and whether he would incriminate Bobby. Many people are guessing on X on social media, with one user saying, “I really hope that Roy is going to grass on Bobby.”
“Think Swain is gonna be paying Bobby a visit soon,” another person said in agreement, and a third added, “I hope so.”
