Dying Paul left alone as coughing fit takes hold in Coronation Street – as violent dad walks out

Soon after, when alone in the flat, Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) has a coughing fit that puts his life in danger on Coronation Street.

Paul in the ITV soap opera recently realised how much his speech had begun to slur after spending the afternoon in the pub engaging in karaoke with his friends and family.

Paul made the decision to record a few more sentences on the gadget he will use in the event that he eventually loses all speech after speaking with Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell).

The MND crowdfunder will be the subject of future episodes of the ITV soap opera. The response has stunned Paul, Gemma, and Billy (Daniel Brocklebank). They are confident that it will cause the council to take note of the potential closing of the facility.

In the meantime, a man approaches Jane Hazlegrove’s character Bernie outside the café and informs her that he was unaware of his son’s death until he heard Paul’s radio appearance earlier in the week. Bernie conceals her astonishment, but soon reveals that Paul has passed away and the interview was staged.

Denying Bernie’s story, Denny, Paul and Gemma’s father, follows her up to the flat.

Before long, the twins see their father for the first time in a long time.

Subtly later in the week, Bernie vents to Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) about Denny, revealing to her that she is privately concerned about some details from her history.

Billy tells Paul at the flat that Denny can’t be trusted since he used to hit him when he was younger. But Billy grudgingly lets them see the movie when Paul invites Denny to watch it.

Denny sneaks out for ice cream as their afternoon begins.

He runs towards Gemma on the cobbles, eager to see his grandchildren, not bothering to consider that his sick son is alone in the flat.

Paul is waiting when all of a sudden he starts to cough and has trouble breathing. He dials 911, but he hangs up the phone as the operator answers.

Upon his eventual return to the flat, Denny is taken aback to discover Paul barely conscious.

How will Paul’s family respond if they learn that Denny left him alone?
