A hospital dash allows Roy some time to think
It appears that ROY Cropper will make significant progress in figuring out who Lauren Bolton’s secret boyfriend is.
On the ITV soap opera, the friendly café owner has been arrested and charged with Lauren Bolton’s murder.
The police have not stopped prosecuting him even though they do not have a body or any proof that a murder has occurred.
Roy was Lauren’s friend, and the police were convinced that more unsettling had occurred when his DNA was discovered on a condom wrapper at her apartment when he picked it up during a cleaning session.
Since being locked up, Roy has been experiencing terrifying flashbacks and hallucinations of Lauren, which have caused him much distress.
Fans of Coronation Street will witness Roy keep seeing Lauren in future scenes, as it becomes evident that his thoughts are trying to recall a specific discussion he heard the eighteen-year-old having with Max.
Officers will be shocked to learn that Roy has passed out in his cell after struggling with prison life, and they will immediately take him to the hospital.
When Mary sees him in the hospital, he seems stressed and exhausted.
Roy informs her that he has to jog his memory further regarding Lauren and Max’s conversation and the reason it feels so important.
Mary exhorts him to consider his options carefully since any information could be crucial to identifying the true murderer and freeing him from jail.
Roy thinks about this exchange while he is back in his cell, and finally he realises what he is attempting to recall.
He remembers overhearing Lauren mention a new necklace she received from an unidentified partner.
Roy then called Dee Dee while she was in jail, asking her to find the kind of necklace, see if they can identify the person who purchased it for her, and finally find out who her mystery man is!
Will this be the turning point they sorely need?
