Viewers of the ITV soap have decided it needs to happen
Viewers of Coronation Street believe they have detected a new relationship and have concluded it is inevitable because it’makes logic’. In March, viewers of the ITV soap opera were told that DS Lisa Swain will remain in Weatherfield, even if she is able to solve the disappearance of Lauren Bolton.
Vicky Myers portrays the role, which debuted in 2021 when she headed the police probe into the assaults on Seb Franklin and Nina Lucas that resulted in the latter’s demise.
In October, viewers of the ITV soap opera saw Swain pursue serial killer Stephen Reid, only for Peter Barlow to run him over and kill him on the street. More recently, viewers saw Swain receive backlash from Daisy Midgeley after the police failed to stop her stalker Justin Rutherford before he carried out a horrifying acid attack on her wedding day.
But now that Vicky has joined Corrie as a new regular cast member, DS Swain is back in the spotlight after she detained and accused Roy Cropper with the kid’s murder. The teen has been missing since February 23.
A stressed-out Roy was discovered slumped in his cell during Monday night’s (April 29) episode of Corrie, as he frantically attempted to determine the cause of his visions of a conversation between Lauren and Max Turner at the cafe.
Nina Lucas came to see Roy, but she was left waiting and discovered him splayed out on the floor of his cell. Later, when Carla arrived in the hospital, she was keen to see Roy but found out that he had removed her name from the list of visitors after learning Bobby had told the police falsehoods about what he had seen when Lauren vanished and Carla had agreed to it.
Soon after, DS Swain was up, as Roy had requested to talk with her. However, Roy chose not to tell her the truth about what Bobby and Carla had done, and when he did speak to Carla at last, he took decisive action.
However, it was more the conversation between Carla and DS Swain that drew attention from Corrie watchers, who swiftly posted comments on the two on social media.
