Coronation Street’s Maria confronts Sarah and Gary over their ‘affair’ in new video

Next week on Coronation Street, Gary Windass (Mikey North) will have to make some amends when wife Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) discovers him leaving their apartment with former lover Sarah Barlow (Tina O’Brien).

Worse even, she has video proof of them cuddling!

Fans of the ITV soap opera will recall that, upon discovering her son Liam (Charlie Wrenshall) had been thinking of taking his own life, Maria set up a covert camera in their Victoria Court flat to keep an eye on him.

For months, the teenager was tormented by his classmates Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) and Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan), and at one point, he was even threatened with a knife.

Sarah went to D&A&A Alahan’s earlier this month to get a bottle of wine to help her forget her breakup with her lover Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths), who was sent down for his involvement in a failed heist.

She ran into Gary on her way home, and because he and Maria had a falling out earlier that day, he encouraged her to spend the day with him.

He gave her a hug after they got into a heart-to-heart conversation.

He hurried to erase the evidence, however, when it became clear later that Maria’s phone would have the damning video.

After informing Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) and Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) about Liam’s problems the next week, Maria goes home to see Sarah back with Gary and appearing shady.

She puts the camera back on the side and walks away, sensing their uneasiness.

Gary finds Sarah out and gives her another embrace, blissfully oblivious to Maria seeing them, and they make a commitment to maintain their distance from one another going ahead.

Later, as the most recent spoiler video reveals, she confronts the two about what they did!

Oh no…

Gary expresses optimism for a reconciliation later in the week, but Maria clarifies that’s not possible and concentrates on Liam’s first therapy session instead.

She confides in her brother, Andy Whyment’s Kirk Sutherland, that she feels like the worst mother ever.
