The rivalry between Moira Barton and Ruby Fox-Milligan appears to be intensifying, according to EMMERDALE spoilers.
Ruby, portrayed by Beth Cordingly, first appeared in the ITV soap opera at the beginning of the year.
She was reunited with her son Nicky (Lewis Cope) and her estranged husband Caleb (William Ash).
Caleb had taken advantage of Ruby’s absence to start an affair with Tracy Robinson (Amy Walsh) before Ruby arrived.
Thus far in her tenure, Ruby has had disagreements with the Dingle family and teamed up with Kim Tate (Claire King) to hatch a scheme to have Caleb leave the village with her.
After they were left fighting on the street and The Woolpack, it looks like Ruby and Moira Barton’s (Natalie J. Robb) developing animosity would intensify in future episodes.
The two have never really gotten along, despite being married to brothers Caleb Milligan and Cain Dingle.
In a prior scenario, Moira took great pleasure in giving Ruby the finger while driving and spraying her with a puddle.
Ruby later had her comeuppance when she drove on a small route beside Moira’s car and refused to yield, leading to a heated confrontation.
The episode on Friday elevated their rivalry to a new height.
Ruby spread a false and malicious story that Moira had scabies and her family had too.
Tiny mites that burrow into the skin are the source of this unpleasant skin ailment.
Though teasers suggest Moira has a brilliant plan in place to get her revenge, she won’t go down without a fight.
The plot centres on Moira’s confrontation with Claudette Anderson (Flo Wilson), a figure Moira met with after Claudette mistreated Moira’s son Matty (Ash Palmisciano) in a transphobic manner.
Claudette had a difficult response when she found out Matty was transgender, so she forbade Matty and Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson) from being married at the town hall.
Moira expressed her displeasure with Claudette spoiling her son’s wedding arrangements in no uncertain terms.
Ethan (Emile John), Claudette’s grandson, assisted her in seeing that she had to apologise to Matty.
