Truths exposed and major character left to die as shock exit rocks Coronation Street

Even though Coronation Street is currently dealing with one murder mystery, if Nathan Curtis’s (Chris Harper) assailant succeeds in their plan and leaves him for dead, they will undoubtedly uncover another one.

The horrible abuser of Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) is bringing pain once more and is connected to Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) disappearance.

The nation’s most infamous opponent is approached by an enigmatic attacker and soundly defeated.

But will he die, and if so, who is at fault?

In another scene, Jane Hazlegrove’s character Bernie Winter is about to unveil the biggest of all bombshells: she has a hidden son that she gave away.

And it appears like they could get back in touch shortly.

In other events, Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) is drawn away from the Street by the cult.

Georgia Taylor’s character, Toyah, is her anxious sister, and she’s determined to find out.

Monday May 13

Gemma begs Dev to look into things after realising Bernie has been lying about where she has been. Bernie breaks down in front of Dev and confesses that she had another son named Zodiac, or just Zac, who was placed in foster care.

She is desperate to locate him after he was subsequently adopted and given the name Christopher Green.

The CPS calls Dee-Dee and says they have some updates about Lauren’s phone texts. Carla and Nina are informed by Dee-Dee about the revealed communications.

With her mind racing, Bethany listens. She then finds Lauren’s file on Dee-Dee’s desk after slyly making her way into the lawyers.

Toyah locates a forum for former Altovalent Institute members. She attempts to show Leanne a post she saw that implies the Institute shouldn’t be trusted, only to find out it was removed due to legal issues.

Despite Leanne’s dismissive attitude, she phones Rowan, who claims that his spiteful ex-wife authored it and that her statements are untrue. Leanne is flattered when Rowan tells her he’s been elevated to head of the North-West division and extends an invitation for her to have a tour of the Institute.

Steve comes upon an article discussing Weatherfield County’s intention to create a bust of Tommy Orpington in his memory. After meeting Demi, Steve starts slandering Tommy.

Steve admits about Demi’s affair when she asks why he despises him so much. As a compromise, George apologises to Glenda and gives her a cheque for £22,000, expecting that this will put an end to their argument.

Wednesday May 15

Craig is asked about Nathan’s alibi by Bethany. Bethany points out that Craig was operating a tanning salon when he groomed her, and that’s when he lets it slip that Nathan was with his girlfriend, who works at a nail bar in town.

Sarah tells Gary that she’s concerned about Bethany since she’s gotten obsessed with attempting to link Nathan to Lauren’s death.

Daniel and Bethany are horrified to see Nathan waiting for them as they leave. Nathan yells at Bethany for bugging his girlfriend. David, Sarah, and Gary talk about Nathan in the Rovers and decide that something needs to be done before he wrecks Bethany’s life once more.

Nathan is packing up on the construction site when a hooded person comes over and hits him in the head. Nathan passes out.

Simon is told by Leanne that she met Jared at the Institute, and he would be more than willing to assist him in setting up his food delivery service. Toyah keeps an ear out.

Leanne is thrilled when Simon tells her that Jared has agreed to meet with him and that he would need to borrow some money, but Toyah believes it’s just another con. Examining Rowan’s page, Toyah takes a number and enters it into her phone.

When Toyah meets with Una, Rowan’s ex-girlfriend, she tells her about her sister’s involvement with the Institute and her concern that she may be in danger. Will she receive the assurance she has been hoping for?

Bernie informs Dev that she will be seeing one more Christopher Green on her list. Bernie, however, sips her drink in worry that she has lost the opportunity to find her son after learning that he passed away from cancer.

a dejected Debbie is informed by Kevin that there hasn’t been any work at the garage. Steve shows Tim some pictures of Tracy paragliding over the Med with Tommy that she posted on social media. Tim is sympathetic to his friend.

Friday May 17

Shona, unimpressed with David’s explanation, questions him about the stain on his pants as Bethany speculates about Nathan’s potential attacker.

David reassures Bethany and Sarah that he is innocent, but Shona interrupts, showing them that David was at the construction site when Nathan was assaulted thanks to the tracking programme on his phone.

After David acknowledges that he saw the attack but did not commit it, Bethany becomes even more certain that Daniel is at fault. Will her correctness be demonstrated?

Toyah asks Leanne to think twice before she departs for the retreat, but Leanne says no. Simon is saddened to discover that she left without saying farewell.

After taking a sick day from work, Simon gets wasted, throws up in Tim’s taxi, and makes off without paying.

Max gives Kevin and Abi a mock-up of the new website and tells them it will cost £1000 if they want him to move on.

Kevin won’t make the payment. Later, Kevin is rattling Jack’s laptop as he browses the Weatherfield County discussion site when something catches his attention.

Sally is shocked to learn that Tim is an estate agent in Hale Barns and promptly relaxes the friendship restriction after learning that Demi, Steve’s girlfriend, is one. When Steve asks Sally and Tim to supper, Sally is overjoyed. This is Paul’s last dinner before tomorrow’s feeding tube installation.
