Coronation Street star announces birth of baby – on same day she left the soap

Sair Khan of Coronation Street has announced that she gave birth to a child.

Sair is Alya Nazir in the soap opera on ITV. Alya departed Weatherfield in the May 8 episode after receiving an offer for a new job in Dublin, which allowed Sair to take her maternity leave.

In addition to posting some sweet photos of herself, her boyfriend Nathan, and their new child on Instagram, Sair also included a detailed statement detailing the delivery and adjusting to life as a new parent.

“He’s in the room!” Well, I didn’t intend to “keep” me awake when I said in my last post, “Spring awakening.” ???? The zombie appearance of a new parent is certainly a thing, she wrote.

Above all, our young son is very amazing. extremely serious and worldly-minded. He joined me on our 22-hour labour, which was an incredible rollercoaster. He is really strong and resilient. We didn’t have the exact delivery I had planned for, but it’s okay—two birth pools instead of a water birth.

“How do I sum up my labour experience?” My goodness, I had no idea what a journey I was in for, so I’m glad I went into it with an open mind and no expectations. It was raw and primal. Since then, in addition to coping with sleep loss and the little matter of attempting to repair my own condition, we have been working nonstop to figure out latches, vomit, and tears. Huge appreciation to all the new parents attempting to navigate those first few days and weeks. ????????♥️????????

“Somehow, we’re off to a great start, and I’m so incredibly grateful for our healthy baby, Nathan, and the amazing support network around us—their kindness, patience, and late-night voice notes have kept me going,” Sair continued. Is it just insanity or has anybody else ever felt like there’s a DJ rhythm coming from their breast pump at three in the morning?

I will eventually get around to sharing all the bits and bobs that I found most helpful in the early days, Sair said, capping up the post in a sweet and considerate manner. The sound machine is undoubtedly on top; it’s amazing that we survived the first several days without it! Additionally, anything and anything to calm oneself when nursing a baby! Silver shields, silicone shields, and lanolin balm.

For now, though, what makes it all worthwhile is the attractiveness, cuddling, and enticing fragrance of a newborn. Sair x ???? ???? ????????

After meeting through a mutual acquaintance, Sair and Nathan started dating in 2020 and have been ‘head over heals’ for one other ever since.

Nathan underwent surgery to remove a benign bone tumour near the end of 2021. He made the decision to create a YouTube channel and started recording his experiences coping with a pelvic tumour.

The procedure for Sair’s partner was set on December 29, but it was postponed until a week later just ten minutes beforehand.

In an Instagram post announcing her pregnancy at the end of the previous year, Sair discussed Nathan’s operation in detail.

“We had a difficult time together last year with Nathan’s pelvic chondroblastoma surgery,” she remarked. We still have a long way to go in order to overcome the numerous challenges that come with the cancer spreading to his lungs.

“There are lessons to be learned and gifts to be cherished, but life can be difficult and challenges will always arise.”
