Coronation Street favourite Alya has had a number of jobs over the years, but her latest career venture doesn’t appear to be sitting well with loyal viewers
Fans of Coronation Street believe that the writers’ choice of a new plot involving Alya Nazir was a bit of a blunder.
The heroine, portrayed by Sair Khan, has secured a new, glamorous position, marking the latest in her string of strange jobs. However, viewers don’t get it and have called it a “joke”.
Alya began her work as a trainee manager at the Underworld nappy factory. After that, she started to own a portion of Speed Daal, her brother Zeedan’s restaurant.
She later worked at the Bistro before joining Barlow Legal Services as Dee-Dee’s legal secretary. More recently, competing legal practice Fabian’s made contact with her.
After impressing Fabian’s boss Rich at a meeting at Adam Barlow’s apartment, Alya received an employment offer. Then he offered her the option to work on a significant project in Dublin, which she also took.
Actually, the plot was developed so that actress Sair could take a maternity leave. However, because of how quickly it moves, some viewers continue to have complaints.
Someone said on the internet: “She was the office junior the other week but it’s ok she’s got a big book on contract law, so she’ll be qualified by the time she gets off the flight!” “Has Alya completed a law conversion course or has she obtained a law degree?” inquired another. This plot about her becoming a well-known lawyer is absurd.”
“Will Alya be a barrister when she returns from Dublin?” asked another. Legal studies are not necessary.”
Another person stated: “Alya worked as a waiter at a café last year. Pretending to be a renowned attorney now. absurd compositions.”
Filming her last scenes before the birth of her child, Alya departed the serial opera this week. Shortly after her last show, Sair announced she was pregnant.
She shared a photo of her little boy and branded him “marvellous”. Sair added: “He’s super strong and so resilient for joining me on the absolute rollercoaster that was our 22 hours of labour.”
