Emmerdale spoilers: Gabby mortified as lonely villager stuns her with a kiss

Adorable new pair alert, or is someone about to get a smack from Emmerdale?

Since the Nicky (Lewis Cope) incident in Emmerdale, Gabby (Rosie Bentham) has lamented being single. However, while she may want to alter her single status, this is not her intended outcome.

As part of his scheme to disturb Belle (Eden Taylor Draper), Tom (James Chase) has been swooning over her and calling her attractive. Things have been a little strange recently. He has been pressuring Vinny (Bradley Johnson) to consider her as a possible first conquest at the same time.

Tom has promised to help Vinny lose his virginity in a weird ploy to lure him away from Belle, and he believes Gabby is the one who can pull it off.

Tom is pushing Vinny to see Gabby as a sex object since he has never done so.

Vinny is forced to face the lonely elephant in his room as a result of Tom’s constant interference. He tells Paddy (Dominic Brunt) of his confession, and Paddy then relays it to Mandy (Lisa Riley).

Vinny’s mother is now interfering as well, rather than simply Tom.

Mandy begs Gabby to spend some time with her kid and help him rediscover his megawatt grin out of concern for him. It works, and the two enjoy themselves immensely while hanging out at the Hide.

However, naive Vinny interprets Gabby’s intentions as a friend supporting a friend as flirting. Vinny jumps at the chance to give a startled Gabby a kiss.

When Gabby makes it apparent they don’t feel the same way, he is immediately humbled. Vinny, embarrassed, tries so hard to apologize, but Gabby tells him that she is only with him because Mandy and Paddy are interfering. That was quite the gut-punch.

This is the most humiliating thing Vinny has felt since Tom made fun of him in public for being a virgin. Though he feels bad for contributing to Vinny’s humiliation and rage, maybe it wasn’t all in vain.

Laurel whispers to Gabby that she shouldn’t pursue the same kind of man all the time since it hasn’t worked out very well for her thus far. Perhaps she will begin to see Vinny differently as well.
