Kim Tate is also left jealous in the ITV soap
Next week on Emmerdale, the aftermath from the terrifying car incident between Nicky Milligan and Ethan Anderson will continue as the latter eventually admits to what the public knows occurred.
Beginning in the hospital, where Ruby Milligan-Fox battles tension as she and Caleb Milligan watch over Nicky as he fights for his life, the story begins. While everything is going on, Ethan feels bad since his family is praising him before he starts his new work, but his father Charles is aware of his unease and concerns.
Despite familial strife, Ruby and Moira Dingle become close when she confides in Moira about Nicky’s health. Ruby, however, isn’t deterred and is determined to get vengeance on Nicky for the accident as well as the identity of the driver of Nicky’s automobile. Meanwhile, back in the hospital, Caleb makes amends with Cain and promises to track down the driver.
Charles, in the meanwhile, notices that Ethan is having difficulties and leads him inside the church for an open discussion. When Ethan acknowledges that he was behind the wheel when Nicky was involved in an accident, Charles is taken aback. When Ethan tells him he plans to lie to the police and begs for an alibi for his movements on the night of the accident, Steve is shocked.
When Ethan discovers that his own father had reported him to the police, he is horrified and is detained for Nicky’s accident. Furious Ruby concludes that Ethan had to have been driving Nicky’s automobile after seeing his arrest. After seeing his family’s destruction and seeing Ethan dragged away by the police, Charles quickly starts to second-guess his choice.
As this is going on, Tom King keeps separating his wife Belle from her family and takes control of another area of her life by opening a joint account for them. Afterwards, Tom is incensed to see Belle conversing with Mandy and Lydia on the puppy cam and starts to listen in on their exchange.
Tom is not aware that the three are making fun of him behind his back, but he is listening intently to everything they say. Belle is happy to see that Tom is kind to Mandy and Lydia when he suddenly returns home, but she questions whether he is being sincere. As they depart, Belle finds herself in a scary predicament when Tom turns on her again, and sure enough, his mood becomes hostile.
In another scene, Vinny Dingle confides in Paddy Kirk about his loneliness. To lift Vinny’s spirits, Mandy encourages Gabby Thomas to spend some time with him. Before long, the two are savouring one other’s company in the Hide.
However, Vinny misjudges the circumstance, kisses Gabby, and is horrified to discover that she doesn’t feel the same way. Gabby finds out about Mandy and Paddy’s role in their schemes when Vinny apologises to her. While Laurel provides Gabby some food for thought by advising her to deviate from her typical sort of man, Paddy feels bad to see Vinny so embarrassed and furious.
Additionally, Liam Cavanagh and Ella Forster are enamoured with one other after an out-of-the-ordinary date in the scrapyard. The next day, Ella is overcome by how quickly her love is developing.
Billy Fletcher is under pressure to balance his hospital visits with childcare responsibilities, while Nicola King is worried about the slow progress being made in planning the village festival. Rose is likewise in shock by Kim Tate’s continued exclusion from the family, but that afternoon, Rose strikes up a conversation with Lydia. Lydia is fascinated by Kim and Rose’s connection, while Kim is envious that the two are becoming closer.
