Fans have rumbled a significant shift, but Bethany Platt is sure that Nathan Curtis was the one behind Lauren Bolton’s attack and possible murder on Coronation Street.
Tonight on Coronation Street, Lauren Bolton’s link to the villainous Nathan Curtis has finally come to light.
Lauren, a teenage girl, vanished earlier this year, and the police assumed her death. They indicated that the large amount of blood they discovered during her flat investigation was the consequence of a severe attack. Innocent Roy Cropper has been accused of killing Lauren, even though the corpse hasn’t been found yet. But if he wasn’t the murderer, then who was it?
When Bethany Platt saw Nathan Curtis, the guy who had molested and raped her, again in Weatherfield earlier this week, she was taken aback. Daniel Osbourne attempted to persuade her that it couldn’t be him, but when she learned Nathan was back tonight, she became suspicious that he was the one who had assaulted and killed her.
Bethany decided to face Nathan tonight on her suspicions about what he had done to Lauren. When she discovered he had an O-Vidz subscriber account, she became enraged and grabbed his phone, making her way straight to the police station.
This revelation disturbed her, so she brought the proof to DS Swain and the team. Nathan was quickly discovered to be following Lauren on her O-Vidz account. While DS Swain informed Bethany that Nathan had willingly gone to the police station and denied having attacked or killed Lauren, Bethany remained sure that this was evidence he had killed her. After explaining that he had an alibi for that particular evening, the police were forced to release him.
Even though Nathan and Lauren’s relationship has been made public, viewers are expecting a significant turn in the plot. “That’ll be a burner phone that Joel gave Nathan, but not before he subscribed to Lauren’s ovidz #Corrie,” one person said, while another said, “I wouldn’t be surprised if Nathan didn’t follow the exact steps when it came to his release.” That’s the reason I believe he utilised Joel to aid in his escape; therefore, the cover name “Joe or Joel.” The third person commented, “plot twist, Nathan & Joel are in it together #Corrie.”
In a recent interview, Nathan’s actor Chris Harper gave further hints regarding his impending comeback. He said: “Every indication is there; the parallels between Lauren’s actions prior to her disappearance and her vulnerability truly resonate with Bethany’s experiences.
“We already know that Nathan is cruel, and things might have been considerably worse for Bethany—not so long ago, she was at a gas station on a motorway, ready to be smuggled across to Europe. I believe you can identify the conduct if you monitor that slippery slope. You are aware of the predicament she was in, and Nathan may have been engaged in some capacity.”
