In the most recent episode of the ITV soap opera Emmerdale, Ethan Anderson was taken into custody after admitting to his father Charles that he was the one responsible for the collision that left Nicky Milligan battling for his life.
After Ethan Anderson (played by Emile John) was arrested, Nicky Milligan’s (Lewis Cope) life was in jeopardy, and his parents were seeking retribution, Emmerdale might witness many exits from the ITV serial opera.
When Ethan’s own father turned him in to the authorities, he was engaged in a drunk driving accident that left his buddy Nicky critically hospitalised. Following Nicky’s extraction from the damaged automobile, Ethan crashed his own car and ran away, leaving Nicky comatose on the road.
Nicky is now in a coma and his future is unknown after being taken to the hospital with a serious head injury and brain swelling. His angry parents, Caleb Will Ash and Ruby (Beth Cordingly), are desperate to find out who abandoned their kid and are both out for revenge.
When Caleb revealed to his brother Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) in the most recent episode that Nicky wasn’t the driver, Cain promised to find out who was behind the wheel and what caused the disaster. Ignoring the confession happening in the hamlet, he had a deadly gleam in his eye and planned to find them.
Charles Anderson, Ethan’s father, became concerned about his son’s strange attitude over the last several days and urged him to talk to him about what was upsetting him. Eventually, a contrite Ethan acknowledged that he was the one who had injured Nicky.
But Charles was so incensed—he ended up contacting the police himself—when he learned his son had no intention of turning himself in and even sought an alibi.
Ruby saw Ethan being wheeled off into a police vehicle as Monday’s programme was coming to a finish.
Ethan was challenged by his irate mother, who called him “sick” and said he was attempting to leave the situation.
Charles meekly acknowledged handing his own kid into the police as Ethan’s relatives looked on.
Both characters’ futures are still unknown since Ethan is being held by the police and Nicky’s status is not guaranteed.
Fans shared their predictions about what may happen next on social media after the broadcast.
I wonder who Claudette is going to murder next, one admirer remarked. #Emmerdale seems to be a family custom.”
“Ethan’s troubles are hardly related to the jail! When they find out, he hasn’t even met Cain and Caleb! #Emmerdale,” said a second tweet.
Another responded: “And with Ruby in the village it’s gonna be a storm now that she knows #emmerdale.”
Another person commented, saying, “Finally, Charles does the right thing and tbh Ethan is safer in prison than when Caleb and Ruby get hold of him #Emmerdale.” A fourth person begged, “Get him Ruby!!!!! #Emmerdale.” (sic)
